My wife and I had booked a cruise directly with the cruiseline. Upon having a conversation with Roxanne Neukam @ Cruise Conneected, she stated she would rebate us $300 for giving her the booking. So with a discount over direct price could not pass that up. she stated she got paid after the cruise. So we tried to call her and with numerous emails and phone calls she never responded. I left an expensive electronic item on a flight from Bangkok to Abu Dubai, unequivically it was in my seat pocket as another pasanger remembers seeing something 'White' in the wall seat pocket of my seat as they disembarked. the flight was 90 minutes late getting into Abu Dubai and I had a connecting flight to Ireland. Do not make any reservations at this hotel for any reason. This hotel was booked for only one night, which was supposed to be for a family get-together. Due to a heavy snowstorm in SD on the day we were to travel to hotel, we were unable to fulfill our reservations. Hotel required 24 hours notice to cancel reservation. I stayed in the "adult" "private" "cabin" which ended up being right next to the road, attached to the owners house, and could not be outside past 11pm without someone coming up to me saying to keep it down (even talking around a campfire at 12 am was bad). my son and a few of his friends went down to grandbend for the weekend...they rented 2 rooms..they had to put a deposit of 100 dollars for each room. when the weekend was done they asked for their deposit back. the lady at the front desk told them she didn't recieve any deposit. my son called me, and i called another mother about this scam they were trying to pull on these kids. after a few phone calls, and telling them that we were going to call the health department and the bbb, they found the deposit..we did get it back, but they pull this scam on kids all the time. read full review »

The staff at Palma Real are eager to book atour or show you their vacation club. Try to complain about service and you get ignored and shown a lot of BS about protocol. Case in point. Stayed at this resort and ordered a bottle of wine. When the wine went bad we complained. The pompous manager Cesar Garcia simply told us over and over about the protocol for ordering the wine. He refused to hear us and refused to try the wine himself! Complained to the hotel manager who simply reiterated the wine ordering protocol according to Sol Melia.
