Burberry
JacD54 December 30, 2009
I am writing to describe a bad experience with the Burberry store in White Plains, NY. On 12/27, I purchased a beautiful jacket and shawl as gifts for my parents. I reviewed my receipt the following day and realized I was mistakenly charged a 9.6% sales tax. I immediately called the store and was told by Nicholas that he was unable to help me correct the problem because he was unfamiliar with the sales tax. Since I had planned on giving the items as gifts the following day, I asked if he would be able to adjust the sales tax if I came in... read full review »

I noticed on Dec 13 that $200 was taken from my brand new checking account to pay an e-check that someone issued with someone else's name and address on it. So no one tried to pretend to be me. They just put my account number in, and with no confirmation of name, address, anything, E*Trade paid it. I called the bank immediately and Customer Service told me I have to fill out an affidavit of forgery. I kept explaining to them that no one forged my name, address, or signature. I've ran into two separate occasions where this website has screwed me over. #01. Returned a dress that did not fit properly. Dress cost $54.99. Put it in its original packing and returned it in a timely matter. Got an email later that said, "Thanks, your return has been received and you will be credited $49.49 (cost of dress - 10% discount used)." I could barely get the dress on let alone use it! #02. Decided to give Modcloth another try because I needed (and still do need!) a decent dress for New Year's Eve. On... read full review »

I purchased a battery which was incorrectly advertised on the website of West Coast Power as being a replacement for battery model EV12. This is not true as the battery I received was a 6-cell battery, not a 12-cell as the EV12 is. I returned the item, and not only did they decline to pay for shipping, but they had the balls to charge me a 15% "restocking" fee! This despite their claim of "Full Money Back" on their webpage. BUYERS BEWARE!!! This dealer’s name, “OffleaseOnly”, certainly does not imply the type of vehicles they sell, which is anything but leased vehicles: automobiles that tend to be clean, one-owner, well maintained cars. In order to market vehicles priced well below other dealers’ used cars, the owners obtain these vehicles at the auto auction and only bid on those cars that were fleet vehicles owned by rental car companies or cars that were involved in an accident. Close inspection of the cars on their lot will reveal the... read full review »
