I was scammed by NJ / Apply Knowledge. Why I signed up is a mystery to me. I always tell telemarketers NO. I still am baffled after 18 months. We wanted to go to AC for long weekend. Called the 800# on our Total Rewards card. We were told that a room would be free for Sunday night, but for Saturday night the hotel was booked. When I asked for a bill I was in turn asked to produce a liquor permit, on telling the sales person that I did not have one he then said that he could not give me a bill. The products sold for Infant care - are so very expensive, that hospitals in tier II cities are not able to afford. Even when we afford by some funding. The movie rental service was offered to me for free for the 1st month and I was given the option to discontinue the membership after the 1st month. After the 1st month ended, i had requested to cancel my membership. I was assured that my membership will be cancelled and my deposit of Rs 999/- will be returned within 3 weeks.
