When I realized that Cavalier Long Distance Service was billing me $43.75 through my credit card to 'maintain' my account whether I made long distance calls or not, I called my local carrier, (Verizon), and found they charged nothing if I made no long distance calls, so I had Verizon pull my account from Cavalier. We purchased this sewer drain cleanout machine from Lowe's for $407.95 on May 25, 2004. We have only used the machine five times since then and had significant problems on three of those occasions. According to the literature, it cleans 4" lines up to 100'. What the literature does not say is the machine "eats" cables quicker than my cat consumes a raw shrimp. I jointed the ladies workout about four years ago with a contract of two years. when the contract expired, the company still deducted 14.95 out of my account to this day. i have called the company, they took my information, then at the end they said they can not cancel the payments. They told me i needed to contact the place where i was a member. I have tried to contact the ladies workout express in my city, without any success. I received a renewal notice from Gourmet Magazine around June 2008 which I ignored because I no longer wanted the magazine. I then started to receive notices demanding payment of a $15 renewal fee or my credit rating would be ruined. Today I received a notice stating that my account was going to be turned over to a collection agency. I did not renew the magazine and it stoped coming around July 2008. I purchased this extended warranty with my used car. When it came time to use the warranty I was told that they did not agree with the cost of the services performed on my car and would not pay the dealer the amount required to fix the car. Therefore, a difference of $500 was passed to me. These were all areas that were covered under warranty. On October 22, 2008 my son took his 1999 Honda Civic to Scott's automotive in Lubbock. After inspecting it, they determined that he had a bad engine and his only option was to replace it. They gave him the B&R auto parts name as a place to call for an engine. He called B&R auto parts and they did have an engine available. I recently had to use 911 services for palpitations, unfortunately they sent Monoc ambulance. the paramedic was rude and very innapropiate. Unfortunaly for him I am an RN who happens to work in an emergency room. In late December 1999 I purchased a phone and Omnipoint cellular service through AAA Autoease. The ad specified a Motorola flip phone, and the AAA person indicated the service area to include the entire state of NJ, 5 boroughs in NY and parts of CT. The ad stated $9.95 to purchase phone. I have a problem with World Connections Travel aka Med Resorts International. I have had this membership and I use that term loosely, for a couple of years and have YET to able to use it. I object to the practice of many vendors to charge a customer's credit card at the time of a purchase, even though delivery may be delayed by month or more. I placed an order with BuyItNow.com on 02/17/00 for goods totaling $600. On 03/10/00, I discovered that the order may not be shipped until 03/17/00 and that another 5 to 7 days would be required for shipping. Yet, my credit card was billed for the order on 02/17/00. UACC is charging excessive interest rates to people. I bought my car from what turned out to be a shady car dealership. Little behold they were working with shady laon companies too... They sent me the paper on my loan about two weeks after the purchase and the interest rate was a whopping 21%. Florida Fireplace is unethical and does not stand behind their word. Florida Fireplace recommended a Peterson gas ring with electronic controls to convert my brick wood burning fire pit to natural gas. They stated in their written quote that "the Peterson set up is designed (and tested) for your application". The fire ring would not stay lite because the electronic controls were designed for a Peterson pre-fabricated fire pit and are not suitable for a sand filled pit such as mine (per Peterson's technician).
