We had a reservation, guaranteed with a credit card for a 3 day trip to visit our daughter in Hollywood. We arrived late at night and were told they had overbooked so we would have to go to another hotel. They sent us miles away to a shabby part of town with a noisy bar right next door. This was very frightening to us as we are somewhat elderly and don't usually drive at night. The hotel had no carpeting or hot water. The hotel manager said this happens all the time. Warning! We had the same problem as sooo many others, but we had good luck with getting the bad HV board replaced free of charge even though our frig. was 4 mos. out of warranty. It seems to help if you mention this website when you call and tell them you know the scope of this problem. All in all, we were pleased with the service we received. We had a new board at our house within three days and installed the next. I bought the StayWell Infra-Red Pet Door in May 2006 but just installed it and began trying to use it in the fall of 2007. I have 2 dogs, both Labs, and when they try to use the door a variety of things happen: 1) The door doesn't unlock and they ram their noses into it. ASC can't seem to finish anything..I have been verbally approved for a modification to my loan and no one can finish this and you can't seem to escalate because they just pass you from department to department duplicating steps... they claim to have access to the same info, but it's clear they do not. After looking this company up on the internet I noticed that others had filed claims about the same false charges. The only address I have is from my Discover account. These charges began on 9-17-07 after a charge to J C Penny on 8-28-07. I called the 800# and it said "welcome to JC Penny Fun and Family Rewards." I have always found J C Penny to be reputable and I wonder if that company is really a part of this but should know. Charges of $9.95 have been made to my Discover from 9-17-07 to 12-18-07.
