Just found out today that At Home Rewards has made several deductions from my bank account causing overdrafts and penalties. I never heard of this company until today. I just read a similar complaint about them on this site that someone wrote 7 months ago. This company is stealing a lot of money from people. This is a real shame. Anyone considering purchasing Best Buy's "extended repair" plans on an appliance - BEWARE! You will likely be without the use of your appliance 2-3 weeks. this has been my experience twice. It takes usually a week to have a "repair specialist" come and look at the item needing repair. From that, parts are ordered. They will not even schedule the followup repair UNTIL the parts are in. I was stupid enough to buy this program, and thought I could cancel. When I called they informed me that I could not cancel the first month. I got the first few days free (what a lie), then they took 49.90 out of my credit card. I told them I wanted to cancel, and they said I was canceled, but I still had to pay the 49.90. My daughter and my granddaughter and i (mother and grandmother) went to the picture studio located at walmart store in oshkosh, wi. 54904. We had my granddaughters 3d birthday picture taken. I ordered an item in early December and after several weeks I finally received an Email that stated that the item that I ordered was not in stock. The debit had already been made from my account. They stated in the Email that I could choose another item. I have made multiple attempts to contact the company and have never been able to make any contact with them. In October I applied for a credit card from Onyx Visa. I received no credit card but had "fees" taken from my checking account as Platinum Member. This occurred 5 times... still no card. I stopped payment on any more debits by them. Dec. 12 was the last time they tried, I guess they got the message, but now It's next to impossible to get in touch for a refund. We're pissed and ripped off. Nov 2006 we purchased a Kenmore washer for <$425 ($500.99 w tax & delivery). It is in our vacation home WHICH IS USED ONLY A FEW TIMES A YEAR. It has been used less than 75 times and the timing switch broke. The Sears Repair Service in Tampa tried to sell us a warranty for $214.99 when we called for service. I had locked my keys in the car early one morning. I called the first locksmith I found in the yellow pages that offered 24 hour service. They said it was a $45 dollar service charge depending on the vehicle and would be there 20-25 minutes. Like many others on this board I am having an awful time with Samsung. We purchased a Samsung RS2555SL side-by-side unit in 2005. Last Sunday it quit cooling and we lost all the food in it. A call to Samsung on Monday said that the unit was still under warranty for the cooling system (5 years) and they gave me the phone number of the local repair agency and sent them a FAX. I had this same issue, told me i was approved for 7000.00 and want me to send 1750.00 to secure the loan. I received a contract from them too, just look fishy, so i contacted the BBB from Nebraska and they emailed me back saying the address was to a real estate company. And that the phone number wasn't listed, when you call the number to press one to speak with a consultant the operator prompts you to speak your name "Who's calling please" and beeps for you to respond. I need some help to resolve an issue that I am not getting anywhere with the vendor. I purchased 4 tickets to the Insight Bowl for 12/31/07. I received the confirmation that I purchased the tickets, the row number, the locations, and the time. They seem to be very nice until they got my credit card; the next thing I know they have almost $800 and we have nothing to show for it and we are now in the process of incurring the legal fees to fight them for our money. Manager and employees very rude. I ordered a baconator with just ketchup and pickles. the first time mayonnaise and tomato and no pickles. i sent it back, and this time it had pickles, mayonnaise, and no ketchup. The third time the attempted to fix the order, i took a bite and the meat was pink and raw. the employee was being rude and saying "if i wanted he could cook it well done" i did not want it well done, i just wanted it DONE and cooked, not pink. This company stole $169.57 from me and I have been unable to recover this amount even after filing a dispute with my credit card company. I ordered numerous satin nickel finished Baldwin locks from this company. They were all to be keyed alike. The locks and mechanisms have a solid warranty. The finish is not guaranteed.
