Investors Recovery Specialist, Inc.
February 2, 2007
Recovery Specialist (IRS) is in business to assist in recovering losses suffered in the stock market. In late 2004 I contacted IRS to employ them. After receiving my paper work, IRS said they felt the loss Investors was recoverable, and I signed a contract in early 2005, for a gross loss of $$342,640. All of 2005 and until October of 2006 was spent preparing the claim and exchanging numerous amount of paper work. A hearing was held in early October in Clearwater Fl. Approximately the middle of November I was notified that the arbitrator... read full review »

Long John Silver's Restaurant
February 2, 2007
Went to new Long John Silver's Restaurant and bought take out meal. Girl taking order was nice, got to window to receive meal and they make us wait, (very few people there). The meal was sitting on counter for several minutes. When we got home, just a five minute ride, opened the box and fries were cold. They were thrown in the bottom with the fish on top. Fish was not cooked and when upon opening slaw container it appeared that someone had already eaten some of it. And that horrible meal was served up by a nasty employee who about threw it out the window at us. Is this anyway to run business? New store too. read full review »

Best Buy Replacement Contract
February 2, 2007
Best Buy sold me a replacement contract for my son’s ipod. They said it would replace the unit “no matter what”. Untrue, when I called the 800 number on the contract I was told by a third party representative that BB no longer honors any replacements of items valued over $300. They will only try and fix it. My ipod was in their option not repairable. So I was “out-a-luck” I was told by the service manager. The store manager would not even talk to me. They lied and then lied again to cover up the salesperson... read full review »

MaxWigs.com
February 2, 2007
This company is absolutely unfair in their lack of exchange policies. I recently purchased a 254.00 wig due to chemotherapy need. The color is completely unacceptable and no one in their right mind would wear it. I only want to EXCHANGE for a more suitable color and perhaps even more expensive wig. They will absolutely not help me out with matter. You would think they would want to stand behind their product and satisfy a possible repeat customer but they will not. Not even the fact that I have cancer, and cannot afford to just throw away the 293.00 that it cost me total, move them to assist me. I am at my wits end with this one! read full review »

Renoma Lighting
February 2, 2007
Consumers take note: Renoma Lighting recycles every bit of poor, returned, sample, display, or restocked merchandise. And, guess what? All of Renoma's bad product gets passed off to another consumer like you and me. In addition, when you call them on it they make you jump through so many hoops that most people just want to give-up. So, be smart, never do business with Renoma Lighting. read full review »

Smith's Grocery Store
February 2, 2007
I have been a Smith's patron for over a decade now, and most likely will continue to be in the future. I just have a few complaints, that probably happen at other grocery stores as well. 1. They start scanning my items before I have a chance to enter my fresh values (discount card) card, which leaves me wondering if I was charged the correct price for those items. 2. Nearly every time I shop for my groceries I am over charged a few dollars! It really upsets me, because I try to watch whats going on, but they go so fast (which i... read full review »

Whirlpool Hot Water Heaters
February 2, 2007
I have been living at my current residence for 2 yrs. In that time I have had trouble with my whirlpool hot water heater, which is still under warranty, three times. The first time we paid out of pocket for parts and labor to fix it. The second time it quit working the repair man noticed it was still under warranty. I called Whirlpool and they sent parts and we paid shipping and labor to have it fixed. Now the water heater is leaking all over my bedroom carpet and whirlpool refuses to honor the warranty. so now I have no hot water except on my... read full review »

Midas Muffler - Plainfield, Indiana
February 2, 2007
I would like submit a complaint about Midas muffler in Plainfield, Indiana. I left my car at the shop for front brake pad (disc) replacement typically a $100.00 repair. The mechanic called and said the repairs would exceed $600.00 dollars. I was skeptical of the work they suggested; however, pressed for time I agreed. Three separate times I picked up my car only to drive away with very little/no breaks. The final time the manger told me they were fine said "I checked them myself". I lost confidence in his ability to repair my car. I... read full review »

Fresh Tortillas & Taco - Staten Island
February 2, 2007
I orderd some food from Fresh Tortillas & Taco located at 78 Victory Blvd. in Staten Island. It was delivered to my house and upon me taking the food contents out of the bag, I noticed Rat feces all throughout the bag and on the foil wrapped food. I immediately contacted the restaurant and stated the problem. The lady in a heavy Chinese accent told me impossible and hung up the phone on me. This happened several times. Each time I stated to them that I wanted my money back immediately and that I was going to report them. Each time... read full review »

Sessler Ford - Libertyville, IL
February 2, 2007
We used the internet to search for vehicles within our price range, and with the options we had hoped for, as a gift to our daughter who was going to college. We were "quoted" $17,900 on a vehicle we liked, but were told they'd "go down" to $16,900 (which we paid). Later, we found that it was already offered on their internet site for $16,900 so their "reduced special price to us" was nothing special. After we brought it home, our daughter wasn't crazy about it, but they highly publicize their "7 day... read full review »

My kids and I went to Popeye's in Memphis (Winchester Road) last night to pick up dinner. We noticed a lot of cars in the drive thru and a line of customers inside at the counter also. I really wanted to try the catfish basket, so we waited in line at the drive thru. We placed our order and I paid with my credit card. Vonage VoIP Phone Service
February 2, 2007
I am writing this complaint in the hopes that others will read this and decide against purchasing Vonage. I am not new to VoIP, I have used AT&T Call Vantage for over a year and have been fairly happy. I decided to give Vonage a try because they offered a local number (I had moved since getting AT&T and they don't offer a local number where I am now) and they were a few dollars less a month. Eureka Forbes Mini Vacuum Cleaner
February 2, 2007
I purchased a mini vacuum cleaner in December 2006. I was told misinformed that the machine has a strong motor and can easily clean rugs, carpets (not have, but regular carpets) and wall ceilings. Eureka Forbes is a well-known company and after a preliminary demo, I decided to buy it. Much to my utter dismay, I found out that I have been cheated. There is a group in Colorado that is placing thousands of harassing (abandoned) calls to consumers.
