Monro charged me a rate for fixing my brake that was disproportionately higher than its competitors and other local repair shops for fixing my brakes and rotors. When I complained on their website, the customer rep, Mr. Christopher Johnson, offered to resolve the issue using their price match policy, for which I was no longer eligible (given the timing of my discovery) and noted to him. Bought a Hyundai Sonata new in 2003. Had 80, 000 miles on it when clutch pedal went to the floor. Clutch parts were not bad, but flywheel was DEFECTIVE. Flywheel not like normal flywheels, but had arms and bushings that allowed the pressure plate and clutch disc to be pushed too far into the transmission bell housing, scraping the bell housing and locking the pedal to the floor. I financed a 2007 accord from this dealer and it is turning out to be the worst experience. I had the car for two weeks and already the cd player don't work and the check engine came on. I brought it to the service center where they told me that it was a valve that was no good. They said they needed to keep the car for a couple of days. They then said that I was entitled to a rental car from enterprise. Enterprise came and then said that I would have to pay 100.00 for insurance purposes. I have a cracked wheel on my 2002 PT Cruiser. I found the wheel for my car listed on the Parts Ultimate's online website. After reading the description and terms/conditions, I purchased the wheel. The price and shipping features were excellent however the actual ordered item had a viatl part missing delivery. I spoke with a customer service agent (after hours of calling the 800#) and was told that I'd receive a callback after she checked with the factory site about the incomplete order. I have not had any contact from PARTSGEEK nor have I been able to speak with a live person after leaving numerous voice messages and emails requesting support. After 5 and 10 minutes past the pickup time, I called the company and no one picked up. I left voice messages and eventually sent an e-mail to inquire if there was a problem. 2 weeks later, still no reply and I had to call around to the different car services in the area to find someone else to take me to the airport (which I was able to). 2005 F150 Super Crew 5.4 Triton $32000, front brake job $2000, tune up $1000, not buying POS Ford priceless. I used to be a lifetime Ford man but, I will NEVER buy a Ford again. I asked for an estamate for front bumper body work and paint. I asked Shawn the owner for one. He said that it would be one price asked for the paint numbers told me it would be ready one day at the price he quoted. When I came in to have it installed the bumper was magically missing... never ordred He did this twice. When I asked him Why? all he said was. I have been a GM leasee and owner for most of my life! My father is a retired GM Engineer and we have always been a GM family. I turned in my lease car, the salesperson at the Heidebreight GM Dealership in Romeo, MI told me everything looked fine! GM is now billing me an additional $ 209.00 claiming that the hood has a dent. It didn't have one when I turned it in. GM has pictures posted on a website showing this supposed dent and there isn't one!!! It is falonious. I had used Expert Tire services on more than one occassion and never had a complaint. This all changed on May 8, 2010. I noticed a screw on the outside of a tire, and knew it would not be able to be fixed. I was not prepared to buy a whole set of tires though since they only had 20, 000 miles on them and were not worn. I was told that the alignment was off and caused the front tires to be damaged. I have a douglas tire with 80% tread and it has a large knot on the side wall that looks like a bomb waiting to go off. I don't have my recipt so wal-mart says they will not do anything. I have never had a tire do this before and been driving for 30 years.I have used Douglas tires before with fair sucess. They are cheap tires with a very thin side wall. If they will not stand behind a tire that has 80% tread and is about to blow out then I am not buying anymore tires from Douglas. I just purchased a new car and was sold the Lojack system. Also a Lojack Guarantee Plus 5000 Warrenty. It was sold to me as, if and when my car is stolen Lojack will pay me $5, 000.00. The misleading part from the dealership was that was all the information I got. They did not provide any documents or a copy of the contract. If I was provided a copy of the contract it would have shown that I do not automaticaly receive the $5, 000.00. I purchased an extended warranty from the Warranty Group through CarMax, after a fair amount of pressuring. Shortly before my contract was about to expire, my transmission failed. My mechanic contacted the warranty people, who sent an inspector to look at my vehicle. I keep impeccable servce records, so they had no choice but to honor the claim. He employes young people and does not appear to provide them adequate training to work on their own, yet he allows them to work alone resulting in aggravating customers.
