Bought a swift in january 2006, the fit finish of the car needs a second look from maruti, the car rattled as i drove from the dealer M/s Mandovi Motors Mangalore to the temple for puja, and i lodged a complaint within 30 minutes of taking delivery about the body rattle. I went to this dealership to check on a part that I ordered a couple of weeks ago and upon entering the driveway I nearly got high centered on the approach. The drive is on the crest of a hill so you have to watch over the hill when making a left turn to the other lane to be sure you won't get clobbered by a car going the opposite way. Our 2003 Mazda Tribute has been through 3 alternators in 130,000 kilometers. After doing some research it seems a fair number of other Tributes had destroyed one or two alternators. This was brought to the attention of Mazda when dealing with this issue. They have tried to blame other things such as added on electrical devices which we do not have. The bottom line is that the alternator is under the engine and right beside the exhaust. It gets soaked in rain, then fried dry. I started my business with them by stating i've been taught to ask, whatever gets replaced on my vehicle, i want in a box when i pick up the car. I needed brakes. Long story short. 3 days later, and $685. They said 2 of my calipers were frozen. I needed an air cleaner because ' it looked like something was living in it' and an oil change. Last year I have purchased a Swift. I have faced some problems which mostly arise through inexpensive use of materials in the car, but none have been as unbelievable than this. Today in the morning as I switched on my A/C, tiny pieces of plastic fiber came flying out of the A/C duct located just below the Windscreen. I took my car in to have a VERY slow tire leak PATCHED. I made it very clear to the clerk that I only wanted the tire patched and they should call me for anything else. I had my Ford Explorer serviced for an oil change. They have a quick turn time, but they lack in the quality of service. First---they did not check the air pressure in all four tires. Second---they did not vacuum the interior floors. Third---they did not clean the windows. This is all stated in their policy which is supposed to be performed during the oil change. There is a national "back order" on the part. This is ridiculous. If this particular part is in such demand then maybe it is a manufacturing default and there needs to be a recall.
