Trophy Nissan (Mesquite, TX)
September 5, 2006
Ok, I believe most people who know me would say that I am a very patient person. Let me give you the situation and tell me what you think, ok? I take my Nissan to this very large dealership in Mesquite, Texas for service to be done. Just so that you know, this is the 6th car we had purchased from them.I called the day before and explained to them that I have to be at work before they open and get off after the service department closes. I made arrangements to drop off my key in the night slot in an envelope. After speaking to the woman... read full review »

September 4, 2006
My ex husband called around to have my car key reprogrammed to my car. He called chrysler on Friday spoke to one of the service people. He explained he already had someone put a new PCM chip into the car and now only needed the key to be reprogrammed. He asked them how much it would be to have a key reprogrammed to a car? They answered $20.00 to $30.00. How long would it take to do? 2 to 3 minutes. Do we need to bring the car there? no. Tuesday, I, his ex-wife, went to the dealer with the key. I told the man at the front desk my ex... read full review »

2006 Toyota Corolla
September 4, 2006
I have a new 2006 Toyota Corolla. It "clicks" and jerks when shifting from Park to Reverse or Drive to Reverse. The shifter sticks at times when shifting and the car sways when driving. I have had the car to Sierra Toyota in Lancaster five times with no success. Because I am a woman they don't take me seriously. The same is true with the Toyota Corporation. Actually, I get lies from my case worker at Toyota Corp. It seems to me that Toyota's reputation is going downhill fast from my experiences and that of others. read full review »

Service Department Smith Carins Brewster Subaru Jeep
September 1, 2006
I received my initial service to my vehicle on Nov. 27, 2005. An anti freeze leak turned into a head gasket replacement that lasted 9 days. My car has bucked since this repair and it still does. I have since had everything from belts to a catalitic converter replacement. The car still bucks at 75. Since it is above the speed limit they are not responsible. This service department has lied in order to get away with an error that they caused. My car has never been the same and it never will. DON'T GET SERVICE AT BREWSTER SUBARU! read full review »

Certified Tire & Service

I am writing this letter to bring to your attention a very unpleasant situation created by the employees of Certified Tire & Service in the El Cajon store. On 07/07/2006 at 8:00 AM I had an appointment for oil change at the store located on 790 N Johnson, in El Cajon. Although I was in the store at 8:00 AM, the store manager, who gave his name as John, did not generate the work papers until 8:15 AM. There were no other customers in the store at that moment. The total charge for shipping was $7.95 for each unit. Making the order a total of $45.88 for two $14.95 products. The company is not refunding the shipping so by the time I return the units for a refund I will have spent at least $20 just to find out that if there are any truth in advertising laws they don't seem to apply to this product which lowered the temp in the car maybe two degrees. Payless offers a lower cost service online for car rentals. However, once you arrive at the desk to pick-up your car they use a series of bait and switch type behaviors to add a series of add-ons. Our 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee air conditioning evaporator developed a leak. After getting estimates from several repair shops we found out that this has been an on going problem in Jeeps and that there hasn't been a recall for this problem from the manufacturer. This repair is very expensive to repair. We paid the Jeep dealership in Merritt Island, Florida over $750.00 to get this fixed. This dealerhip also told us that a recall should have been issued for this defect but never was. Does anyone know of any recourse we might have to recoup all or at least some of these expenses. read full review »
