Our water heater broke and Douglas (no last name given) was called. He came in and we indicated that not only did we not have hot water but we had leaks coming from the heater. Douglas evaluated the problem and noted that all that was necessary was a new thermostat. He quoted $300. Please, please, please save yourself the aggravation and use someone else. Fred, the owner, is one of the most unethical people in his profession. He will promise you the world until he gets your money and not deliver on any of his promises. The work is sub par. On Novmeber 5th I received an LG Dishwasher from the Brick. On or about May of this year the motor started to make noise that you could not hear yourself talk. I phoned the Brick who sent over RVS from sherbrooke who sent a tec person over and told me that the motor needed to be replaced. He ordered a new motor to which it arrive aug 2 and installed it. I contacted Alliant Energy about my time of day meter running when it should not be. The customer service rep told me I didn't know how to read the meter. HAHA The meter has a running total of kwh used and it has on peak kwh used. Quite obvious the on peak should not be running off peak. I have a armed response contract from Suricate. On 18th of december i had a breakin in my house. the alarm started at 12:33 PM and continued up to 14:55. The security company responded only at 14:51 and in their report they declared everything fine while the breakin happened though one of the windows which was clearly visible from outside. I purchased this Bosch AquaStar 240FX, quite expensive water heater based on Bosch reputation for quality. I wanted to do my part to save energy, so spent more than twice the cost of a conventional water heater. It functioned well for 2.5 years, then stopped working. I thought "no problem", the warranty was a reasonable 5 years, similar to a "normal" water heater. I failed to read the fine print however. 5 years was for the heat exchanger ONLY. This company claims to be an energy Supplier and they are nothing more than a Broker. The PA Public Utilities Commision website will confirm this.
