I have used Highbeam, an online research service sporadically over the years. Once you sign up for this service, you will keep paying and paying until you tell them to stop.
I just got notice that I was signing up for another year -- for $100 more than 2009. I was even billed for a credit card that didn't even come close to matching my number. But AmEx honored it.

My daughter's 7 mo old male kitten was attacked by dogs. It was given to her by 1st bf & her 1st animal that was hers. AM/PM refused to treat unless I had $2000 on credit card or $500 cash, even though they supposedly care about animals, I think that in itself tells you what they really care about! It is a Poker odds calculator for online game, and I have paid for the it with my credit card, and they took the money. The licence key for the program arrived but it did not work. I sent an email to their support address, and they changed one letter in the licence name but it did not work either.
It has been 4 days now that their last answer arrived, but no progress whatsoever since then, despite my many emails.

I tool my 1994 Saturn SC2 to Strauss Auto Repair for an issue with my car stalling while driving. Strauss replaced the fuel pump and filter and charged me $800.00 for the repair. Lived in apt. for 6 months. During that time, more and more riff raff moved in causing disturbances. A/C was broken on numerous occasions, repair man took several days to come check it out, causing our electric bill to be sky high. We bought a Kenmore Stainless Steel Smooth Top range and a Kenmore Stainless Steel Side by Side refrigerator on January 29, 2010 for $1071 including tax with cash and the tax with credit card from Appliance Doctors in St. Paul, MN. I received a letter with an attached check today, claiming that I was one of 20 declared winners in conjunction with the North American Sweepstakes Association. Whatever Computes is a website hosting company - operating in Regina/Saskatoon Canada. I paid for services for my website by giving them my credit card number. They made ficitious charges (almost $1000 worth) to my credit card and when I asked them to credit my credit card back, they refused, but offered the overcharge amount as prepaid services instead. I am now stuck with 5 years of their service for a small business that can't afford to prepay any expenses 5 years ahead of time. It is not their policy to return any overpayment. No one has every answered when i call
They dont reply to emails in a timely manner - I had a problem with my phone not working and emailed them twice and NEVER got a reply back.
They are a business that leases lines from Tmobile so trying to get tech support is impossible because I am not a n authorized account holder so Tmobile wont release any info account # or anything!

Every single piece of furniture either gouged or broken. Liquor and wine collection gone. Paintings gone. Kitchen stuff-expensive pots and pans and appliances gone. Boxes rifled through and antiques gone. We paid an extra thousand for insurance and have not collected a penny after 2 years.

I purchased a new Toshiba laptop in June of 2009. In November 2009, it had a mechanical failure in the power connector; it broke off and fell into the body of the unit. It was repaired under warranty then 4 months later failed in exactly the same way. There was no abuse of this laptop, just normal everyday use. Toshiba declined to stand behind their warranty repair, which was either performed incorrectly or using defective materials. A good company would stand behind this, even though the unit is out of warranty. I will never again purchase a Toshiba product as a result. read full review »

I ordered the top of the line config for Alienware M11x and found that the HDMI output didn't work. Complained to Dell service so they picked it up and have been sitting on it ever since!!!
I've paid for a laptop which I now don't get to use. Dell's excuse? They don't have HDMI cables so it will take time to get one to test the laptop. If the service centre doesn't have HDMI cables and takes them well over a week to get one, why do they sell HDMI compliant products???

She suggested to me this product because of the poor enamel condition of my teeth and grinding were wearing on my teeth (I also have TMJ).
