This letter is a complaint about the SST/Providian credit card. I have never dealt with such an obnoxious, rude customer service department in all my credit history! When I told them I was paying off and closing the account, I was told the amount on the statement was not the amount due--I would have to pay an extra $113 in finance charges to close the account! Midas 18783 N. 83rd Ave. Peoria, AZ 85382 (623)376-0188. My 21 year old daughter took her car to midas to have the rear end seal replaced in her 67 Mustang. They replaced it with the wrong seal. It continued to leak, she called and they told her that it wasn't the seal, they said she needed a new rear end. Four years ago we purchased a Samsung wide screen HD television from Sears in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Last year the color convergence went out making it impossible to adjust the color which had gone crazy. Since we purchased the TV from Sears, we called their Home Repair Center to have the problem repaired. Two years ago I purchased a Kenmore canister vacuum cleaner and a 70-pint dehumidifier. I got lucky, the vacuum cleaner died within a few months and it was covered under warranty. However, the dehumidifier lasted two whole seasons (it doesn't even run all year). I took it in to the parts place and they want $120 to fix it. My son had a contract with cingular - their service was horrible - either rude or would make promises not kept - bill was never the same - he spent hours on the phone trying to get things fixed - the store fronts would tell him one thing - customer service would say they had not authority - finally a phone rep told him to cancel his service if he was so unhappy - so he did. I recently purchased Corel Knockout2 at a retail store ($99.99). The minimum requirements on the outside of the box stated the program would run on Mac OS X, and Adobe Photoshop 5 or higher. The package was printed in Aug 2006. I am outraged. Three years ago after losing our beautiful blue point Himalayan, Timugen, to PKD (polycystic kidney disease). We went looking for another kitten to keep Timugen's brother company. I understood the Insurance Commission was to assure the consumer that the insurance companies were in compliance with the state insurance regulations and that they would investigate any and all credible and valid complaints made by a consumer. Mohave County Pools ans Spas of Lake Havasu City Arizona is a big mistake. Do yourself a favor, don't choose them. Their management is terrible, they have had changes in the office and they are horrible. Poor follow up, you nearly have to pull teeth in order to get any updates out of them. I signed up with Matchmaker International about 2 years ago (2005) with a lifetime contract $3,000. I received about 6 referrals all of which were a joke. I bought a pair of what the Mason magazine called navy slip on sandals. My mother-in-law reserved a car through the internet with Travelvelocity through Car Rental Express. She was given a confirmation number with Autorent - San Diego. I was in the Hardees in Rushville, IL yesterday and it was so hot in there we had to leave. I was told the air conditioner had been broken for approximately a week. It could not be fixed because the person in charge was on vacation and no one else was authorized to call for repair. It would not be fixed until this person returned. This is too stupid for words. Someone should be appointed to handle emergencies in the absence of boss, manager, etc. I live in Rushville, but I won't return until cool weather, if then. I opened an account with Juniper/Barclay's in May 2007. I requested a balance transfer of a Well's Fargo deferred interest account in June 2007. Juniper/Barclay's paid the wrong person. I took a 3-year subscription of India Today Travel Plus in December 2005 but the first communication from them required 3 email reminders and 7 weeks. The free gift was delayed by 6 months, and the issues have been consistently late or missing. In fact, I have not received a single issue this year (2007) so far, till date, without multiple email reminders and follow ups regarding the same. We have a Maytag refrigerator that is only two years old; it is under warranty so Maytag sent A&E Factory Service to fix it. On 22 June the technician determined there was a Freon leak, refill the line and told me to call 800 905 9505 if the unit stopped cooling again within 30 days. We were given a credit line of 1000.00 and no annual fees along with bonus miles. In November of 2006, I informed Dish that I was terminating my service. I had already contracted with another company. In May of 2007, I received a statement for charges.
