Bought a patio set on sale, but then found out this store did not have all the pieces. They sent us to two other stores in two different towns. Each store was supposed to have our missing items, not! We then asked them to order the items. Couldn't, item discontinued, but item in sale flier for another week! At the third store, a couple was going to get a rain check for the same set. Do not go to this place! They messed up my nails and STILL wanted to charge me! I was there from the time they opened until after 5pm and I left in tears with fried nasty nails that was not the right color. From August 2007 to date, Acorn Stairlifts declines to honor its one year and lifetime warranty for a stairlift purchased December 2006. Contacted Acorn numerous times over many months, experienced many delaying tactics. Their authorized repairperson couldn't repair stairlift--and we had to pay extra for the repair visit. I ordered $70 of gemstones from Pizazz Works, and they're all fake. The "topaz" is dyed quartz, the "amber" is cheap plastic, and the "jade" is serpentine with lots of chemicals. Even their "coral" is nothing but wood with lots of dye! Stay away from these scammers. read full review »

Toro - www.toro.com I bought some Toro brand valves for the sprinklers in my front and back yards about six years ago. Now Toro no longer makes parts for these valves. So I have to buy new valves (definitely not Toro!) and I have to pay someone to dig up the old valves, cut them out, put in the new ones, and replace the dirt. That will probably cost at least $500. I can not believe that that a company would make a product that you attach to a sprinkler system and bury in the ground and then stop making replacement parts for it only six years later! I used UPS Store #5851 to send a package via USPS International Priority to Hong Kong. I was charged $45.00 in what the receipt simply calls "International Shipping." When the package arrived in Hong Kong, I was told by the recipient that the actual shipping on the package was $27. I bought this card, thinking it was a gift card. Then I realized it was a credit card. I tried to take it back to the store where I bought it. We have had all our 7 lines down for over 2 hours this morning. They were fixing a mistake they made by creating another. It seems that Verizon has various vendors calling/harassing you to improve your current plan. They put us on a service without our approval. So, I had to call to finally return us back to our regular plan and credit us. So, they decided to change our lines DURING WORK HOURS (no approval, no notice)! Verizon cell phone service - Surprise AZ Bought phone in IL, worked fine, came to AZ for the 4 winter months. Surprise growing area, now 100,000 people. bad service, Jan. and Feb. very cold here this year, had to sit outside to talk, even then lost calls, fading in and out, etc. gave me 2nd phone, no better.
