I bought a Generac 48 KW generator in Oct 2009. I paid $13, 000 for this generator. I purchased the generator from a dealer in the US (AP Electric) with the understanding that I was going to ship the Generator to Costa Rica where I am building a house. The dealer in the US told me there should be no issue with warraty coverage since Generac had dealers in Costa Rica. After our house was on fire we hired MIRS to restore our home and it wasn't rebuilt when Mr.Amundson promised. When we asked why our home was taking so long to be finished on time Mr.Amundson said it was the vendors faults. When we contacted a few of them they said they weren't paid so they weren't going to finish the job. Mr. Amundson was paid in full by our insurance company. When it was finally finished it was about three months later then promised. Many times whenwe tried to get hold of him he wouldn't answer or return our calls. I bought a Bosch Hammer drill from Argos on 19th November 2010 and used it once, the handle on the side of the drill came off. In December of 2010, we hired United Duct Cleaning to clean our air ducts. The service they performed was poor. When leaving, they drove over 2 expensive landscape bushes. 2 months of trying to communicate with UDC along with the submission of a replacement cost estimate, have not provided any meaningful response or resolution. Arman, a middle Eastern guy came to my house to install a gas stove. After the guy was finished, I smell gas, but he said that the stove is new and the smell will go away. This is the the most unethical company I have ever worked with in forty years of home ownership! From day one it was problem after probem...starting with the salesman not knowing how to corrrectly measure the window openings. Selected an engineered hardwood floor from Shaw flooring. The installed product did not even come close to the sample board used to make the selection. Shaw would not send anyone out to review the installed product versus the sample. We had to send the sample board to them and they denied the claim. I bought a Stanley bedroom set from their American Modern Collection in 2010 and am appalled at the quality we received. We custom ordered it from International Home Furnishings and saw the set in a store before purchasing. When the furniture was delivered to our home it was all dented and dinged up. It was damaged before they sprayed the finish on and then they sprayed the finish right over all of the damage.
