We used this company to try and recover data from a physically damaged SD card. We were very saddened when the SD card that had taken over 500 pictures at our wedding rehearsal dinner and during the ceremony/reception was not readable (as it had been readable in the camera to look at the pictures during and right after the ceremony, but was unable to read them when we got home and tried to transfer them to a computer). Ordered NeverWinter Nights from Dragon.CA, they offered it at $29 US which was a GREAT price, however :( they actually charged $40 US and when the package arrived it was a USED copy, not NEW as their website indicated, and the CDKEY is -BANNED- from gamespy and the Neverwinter network, so this is useless for what it was purchased for. On July 24, 2001, I ordered 2 books. Finally on August 8, I received my order. However, only 1 book arrived. There was no notice that the other book was unavailable other than the fact that they charged my credit card for the full amount then credited back the differance. In the final analysis the prices, after adding the handling and shipping, are the same as the higher rated sites! If you don't mind waiting for 2 weeks or longer and not knowing if your order will be complete, then by all means shop with Double Discount.com. I believe this website is a scam. I ordered a $50 product from this store and they immediately charged my credit card, however it has been almost 3 weeks and I still have not received the product in the mail. I called and left a voicemail (their automated phone system never connected me to a real person) and no one called me back. When I asked them when they would be getting more they told me that they wouldn't order any more in until they had a big enough order to make it worth it. Very VERY satisfied. Ordered some software from them on August 10th and forgot to put in the expiration date for my credit card. Within 2 hours they had contacted me about my error and we got the problem fixed immediately. It shipped that that day (Tuesday) and I had it by Thursday August 12th. NEVER BUY ANYTHING DLINK! My experience with them is that they put products on the market that don’t work and you have to apply endless firmware updates and even then, you never get things working as advertised. Case in point - Dlink entertainment system for the TV. Bought one of the first generations, networking didn’t work, would not stream video without locking up, had to constantly be restarted. Be careful with these guys. I have had two issues with Divineo the last month that required me to deal with customer service. They reply to my emails very quickly but really don't help (might as well be an auto responder for all they are worth.) The could not help me reset my password when their automated system was down and then after I ordered a simple 360 repair kit; I only received part of the order. I have made two purchases from this site. The first was for a mask only, and it shipped the day after it was ordered, and this was in July 2004. More recently I placed an order consisting of many items, and was fully expecting it to follow the same pattern. As the previous poster states, their site specifically states that items will ship the following day unless out of stock, and that a shipment is guaranteed to arrive on or within 14 days of order placement(no mention of what you get or get back if it's late). I purchased a computer from DIT because I lived in Des Moines at the time so I didn't have to pay for shipping and they allowed me a fairly decent level of customization. Worst experience on-line in a long time. Ordered and was given a tracking number on Wednesday afternoon with an email that stated if you have a tracking number the package has left their warehouse. So not true. My package did not leave until Monday. I emailed customer service on Friday and they stated it would leave their warehouse that afternoon...again not true. I called and was told it wasn't going to leave until Monday. Asked for compensation (shipping credit?)for their errors and was told there was nothing that could be done. Will never shop there again. Customer service at DirectDial.com is terrible. They will not get back to you and really provide no helpful service. So if you run into any problems with your purchase, good luck!! You are pretty much left to fix things on your own. DirectDial.com has no return policy, they would not let me exchange an item I had not used yet! Just because it has Canada in its name does not mean it is a trustworthy company. Beyond a doubt the worst company I have ever dealt with. Not only do they take your money quickly without finishing the order, when you try to cancel it they cannot be reached. Very poor service. Does not answer phones and cannot prove that product shipped after six business days. Has excuses for everything but they sound fishy. Below is a copy of the dialog after 2 other attempts for confirmation. As you can see below, rather than resolve my issues about knowing the status and tracking numbers of the order they cancelled it. I placed an order with digitgo for canon bci24 ink cartridges. When the ink arrived, it some of it had leaked out of the cartridges and the rest of them had dried up. I immediately contacted them for replacements. They responded quickly with a RMA and I sent them back with delivery confirmation for tracking purposes. However, their online ordering system doesn't allow for codes or discounts. The the order completed before I was aware that I wouldn't be able to enter the discount. Digitally Unique is unique alright. This store sucks shop there at your own risk. If you have a problem you will be on your own. I returned a camera, so far, I've never received my refund going on three months now. They say they didn't get the return. The post office says they did. But so far nothing I do or say gets a real response from them. We exchanged at least ten emails to start with. I sent them post office receipt with tracking, still nothing. Frustrating experience ordering and returning a product to this company. I purchased a white ergo keyboard for my Mac and instead received a black PC keyboard. The part numbers are mostly different and it's not easy to confuse one for the other. It has been 6 weeks since I placed my order and I still have not received the full order. I have sent multiple emails to them, including one to cancel the order, and have received no replies. They list no phone number to call for assistance, emails only, which they ignore. I highly suggest avoiding them at all cost. My experience has been mixed. My first order was for a Canon iPF6100 printer, and I received it in a timely fashion for an excellent price. Three subsequent orders for ink tanks and paper have been disappointing. Nothing has shipped until I have complained after waiting 2 weeks. My wife bought me a watch winder and the on-line description was not clear as to how it operates. It turns out their model is not compatible with my brand of automatic watch. It was returned with all boxes, instructions, plastic wrap, etc., in other words in perfect condition.
