Signed up for a free credit report in August 2007. They offered an extended or more detailed look at our credit history for what was supposed to be a $12.95 one time sign up. Now they are removing $12.95 twice a month on the same day. Have called to dispute this with them & got hung up on & told they will reimburse a one time reimbursement. I purchased a single MaxLite bulb for $1.00. When I got home and installed it, it did not light up. So I called the Company to let them know of the defect. The presentative said "no problem". But here's the rub. I received a letter requesting a cash register receipt or a UPC symbol from the package. No problem. But then they requested a $4.00 check or money order per CFL. Why would anyone pay $4.00 for a replacement bulb, when you can purchase a replacement for $1.00 plus tax? So much for a company standing behind it's product. If I could give half a star I would and I haven't even taken the flight yet. I booked a return flight to Auckland from Sydney for my wife and myself, a family reunion. Due to some mis-communication I had to change the dates of departure and return. I expected a change fee but was gobsmacked to be hit with a bill for $400. I took out a policy for short term illness maybe a couple of years ago. Sometime later I developed some kind of a skin irritation around my ankle and it was hard for me to walk. So I went to the doctor and he told me to stay off of it for two weeks. I'm thinking it won't be so bad, I've got insurance. Come to find out,after I filed a claim it wasn't what I expected. I purchased the DVD player because of the rebate offer. Most companies allow 60 to 90 days to submit a rebate, not 15days! To allow such a short amount of time to comply during the holidays is deceptive advertising and unfair. I would not have purchased the DVD player had I known about this deadline. I am in the same boat as the two other complainants on this site. My DCS stove has not worked properly for more than a year. The simmer burners have been fluttering for longer than that, and now the ignition system never stops clicking as long as a burner is turned on. It is maddening. Also, the burners are advertised as being sealed. Yet, there is not a single gasket between them and the stove top. I bought 3 pounds of ground beef from the store at .99 cents and ended up with $4500. worth of dental work. There was a foreign object in the ground beef. The store demanded the two pounds be returned and didn't even refund my money. I PURCHASE 03 CRUISER IN november 2005. 2 MONTHS LATER I HAD A LOT OF REPAIRS 6 MONTHS LATER I HAD TO BUY A transmission for 3,500. The chrylser dealer gave 500.00 towards the repair. Purchased 2 TVs with the promotional purchase of 1 year free interest. The sales person did not tell us we had to make payments. We have purchased other goods the same way only Wells Fargo was the finance company and as long as you paid the balance before the end of the year you had no finance charges or late fees. Requested asset information for three people and never received the product after payment was made. This company says that their searches are legal and go through the clearing house in Washington, DC. However, when I asked for a refund Fred asid that there is no refund and hung up. This company charged my credit card $187 for my orders on January 5th. I paid extra money to have my order send by 2nd day air. It is now January 28th, and I have not received my orders. I have called, emailed, and "chatted" with their customer service person (who says my orders have been mailed). Otherwise, this company will not call or email me in response to my many attempts to communicate with them. I think that their DVD World doesn't exist except online. I purchased a battery for my Dell computer. It failed within a few months and they sent me a replacement (after numerous efforts to reach them went unanswered). That battery failed within a few weeks. They promised a refund when we sent that one back but instead they sent another battery! That one also failed immediately. I was with a party of five waiting for an available table for over 30 minutes. A party of 10 who were black came in 20 minutes after us and a black hostess and waitress took two table and set up for them and were going to make us continue waiting. The fries and hamburgers were cold. The wait in the drive thru for my order, only was 10 min. The lady Jacobb5 , who took our order was snotty. I spent $34.22 for my cold food, and only had a fifty, and because of that I get an attitude for that. I had to ask for napkins. When you give out food at other restaurants, they give you napkins without asking. My complaint is because booking.com works with a hotel by the name of Bungalowpark Domaine de Chodes in Belgium, which apart from being of awful quality, also rips off their customers. In the confirmation they sent me they said that the credit card was only for reservation, and that they wouldn't apply payment. Then they asked for a wire transfer. I have been trying for the last three months to cancel my subscription to his newsletter.
