The Sales consultant at their Tottenham Court Road Branch ordered the wrong bed, no apologies nothing only abuse such as telling you to 'shut up' when I complained to the Branch in person, Customer services on the phone were just as bad if not worse.
Company would not give full refund, they take 20% if you do ask for one even though it's their fault!
Took another 4 weeks to get the bed we originally asked for, had to be re-ordered unfortunately by the same arrogant Sales Consultant.
Company from top to the bottom is a complete shambles, no Customer Service whatsoever, avoid at all costs and take your money somewhere else!!! read full review »

I went to American Freight in Feb 2010 and purchased over 2, 000 worth of furniture. I explained to the Manager Jesse that i wasnt moving into my apartment until March 1 2010 he said thats fine they would hold my items and deliver everything on March 1. The day comes that my furniture is gonna be delivered they dont come until 10:30pm to deliver and then the delivery guys are watching my TV instead of bringing my furniture in. My husband plowed snow for SAL's this past winter because Stephen Lopez (the company's owner) was a business contact of his and offered him the extra work. We were expecting our first child and my husband took the job because he knew Steve and we needed the extra money.

I still have not been able to receive my order for 22 days as of today April 13 and horrible customer service offered by Steve Blind.

Call for Warranty and was told that because I used windex as cleaning supply the warranty do not apply. I told that no manual mention windex cleaning supply they said the manual suggested a cleaning product any other product will ca use denial of warranti. of course they dont said that when you paid

ATX Roofing did not show up on time, did not cover the landscaping, A/C units and the supervisor never showed up on the job. Job lasted two days. A day or two after the roof was replaced we had a huge roof leak that allowed water to pour in which damaged the ceiling in our sunroom.
When we called the supervisor on Saturday and let him know about the damage he said they would be there after the rain stopped and the roof dried up so they could survey the damage.

I purchased a massage chair from pcfetch for $1400 that was advertised on EBay as having a 5 year warranty. After about 1 year, the item developed problems, and I found some metal and plastic parts under the chair. We are not even Tru-Green customers...our neighbors are. We came home one day to a blue dog. Now, I am sure that he was barking at the Tru-Green guy, but the dog was covered snout to tail in blue (we have pictures). When we called the company to complain and explain that the actual property line is about 15 feet from the chain link fence, they told us that it must have been a result of wind carrying the overspray. We spoke to multiple managers who assured us that the dog was not intentionally sprayed.

Having spent good money on Laura Ashley's Kingston Sofa and a matching arm chair, in Caitlin velvet fabric, it's disappointing that after only one year of use (based on a single person's use) that all the seat cushions have lost their "guts" in the middle and sag.

Hired to build attached 2 car garate.unprofessional. avoids returning phone calls, test messages. doesn't work when he says he/team will.always asks for more money for supplies yet we waited for over a week for the roof things and three weeks later still waiting for shingles. unprotected wood on roof was allowed to get rained on (didn't work on the pretty dry days) worked in the rain the other day to put black tar paper on after it had gotten wet! avoid this business!! he is a con artist who not only takes shortcuts but seems unwilling to provide any work once he gets money. read full review »

They are reliable enough to come out in most emergencies, which is good. And the work they do in an emergency when their supervisor is there is fine. But I can't rate them well because the supervisor on site misrepresented what was included in the work and led one to believe that stump grinding was separate, when for others it was included in the quoted charge.

We purchased over 3800 sq ft of Quickstyle Engineered Hardwood and within a couple of months the whole floor started cupping. This product was manufactured in an offshore country where humidity levels are much higher than in Western Canada. The moisture content of the wood is much higher, the boxes are shrink wrapped trapping all moisture inside. When people call their local Sears Parts Store, they are redirected to our call center where their call is answered by a person trained to get deep into their pockets. Purchased an entire livingroom suite from Ashley Furnitire on April 10th 2010. At that time I was told that the delivery time can be up to 4 weeks but it rarily geos that long and it is more likely that the furniture would be deleivered around the 2 - 3 week time frame. We used Donna Godwin of Main Street Design in Purcellville, Va for a bathroom renovation. The tile work was substandard. The shower has leaked through to my office ceiling which is underneath the bathroom and now the toilet that was reinstalled was installed with broken parts and without making the pipe longer to accommodate the raised height of the floor. I am a registered member of the South African Council of the Architectural Profession. Last year our annual fee increased with almost 100%. Due to the recession the architectural proffesion has suffered badly and most companies have had to retrench or in our case a 3 day week.

The service from QS has been nothing short of disgraceful.
They left out two toilet cisterns on our order and refused to pay for their shipment out to Greece (it was made clear to them at the time of ordering that the goods were to be shipped onto Greece). My dealer near Gariahat junction in Ballygunge (Industrial Distributors, 155 Rashe Behari Avenue, Kolkata 700029) for the last 40+ years has a delivery-boy named Kamal for our area, who not only delivers underweight cylinders to my mother of 72 years of age, but also has replaced a full cylinder with another half-filled one, saying that the replaced cylinder was empty (when it was a new cylinder delivered by him few weeks ago, and left unused at our end). Hardiplank is siding that is becoming very popular. The problem, is the company themselves, jameshardie.ca, DOES NOT RECOMMEND that people install it themsleves. Only trained professionals should install it, because the dust contains silica, which causes cancer.
Home Hardware sells the stuff to people, without warning them of the importance of using a respirtor, and home Hardware does not tell the people it is recommended for a professional ot install it.
