Lane Rocker/Recliner
Last year I wrote to your customer service department in Tupelo, MS about a problem I have with my Lane Rocker/Recliner. I never received a reply.
My problem: After delivery of my lane Rocker/ Recliner ...chair serial # 001112098 I realized my recliner swiveled ( I purchased a swivel base) & reclined but DID NOT rock. Unfortunately, by the time I realized the defect, the furniture store I purchased it from went out of business. This was about 3 months after purchase.

Rite-a-way
Our AC went out so we called our home warranty, American Home Shield. They contracted with Rite-a-way services. They called us and said they'd be out the next day. The technician had no clue what he was doing and said it was a number of things that were wrong but then changed his mind. He finally said it was the compressor and quoted us a haul-away fee of $898.00!! This was not covered by the home warranty. He also said it would be 2-3 weeks before they could install it! Sealy PP Matress
Purchased a Sealy PP Matress from Kanes Furniture 2 years ago and it has begun to sag in the middle. I have serious back problems and that is why I purchased an expensive Mattress and Boxspring.
They sent out a man who took some measuements and pictures and said I would hear from Kanes the next day. Waited most of the day and then called them. They said the person responsible for making the decision would be out for several days.

Insured Restoraions
Insured restorations damaged my AC unit they had workers pull on my coper line and that caused a leak of freeon. There were witnesses that said they saw them do it. The AC was not working because it leAKED OUT FREE ON. I notified their so called mananger and they said they were going to send out there so called heating and air guy out he came the next day and he could not speak english and they had there manager tom call to translate for him. a subcontractor using this companys name doing a federal contract did not pay his employees. I am owed 500.00 when contacted power house they say they are not in the business of tree trmming and never have been. however when i worked for the sub contractor i wore powerhouse shirts. if you call the contractors ops/ foreman his voice mail says 'thanks for calling _____ at power house? so whats the deal. just be warned.

Whirlpool; Maytag appliance
I purchased 4 new Maytag applainces through Whirlpool, because of a kitchen remodel, on May 12, 2009. They were installed the second week in June. The vented microwave, installed above the stove, did not heat up to cook. The repairman states that the circuit board needs to be replaced, and will take 10 days -2 wks to arrive. In addition, the plate on the microwave, states that it was manufactured in 2006. My intent was to purchase a new product; not one that is already 3 yrs old. On June 26, 2009 I bought a new Kenmore dryer at Sears and was given the rebate form to recover the cost of delivery of the new unit ($65) and haul-away of the old ($10). I put the transaction on my Sears account to take advantage of an additional 5% discount. A&E Customer Repair Service is awful!!! I have had multiple visits to my home to have my Whirlpool Duet washer fixed. There technical analysis of possible problems with my washer was terrible. I might as well throw darts at the washer to guess where the problem is next. I have had to pay over $600 for repairs to this washer...and it still does not work. We had a scheduled 9AM apointment to have pressure washing done to our home, fireplaces & pool. Spent well over an hour bringing everything from the lanai out onto the lawn. R & R Construction
We hired R&R Construction, owned by Robert Rodriguez to replace the roof on our house and shop. We paid $12480.00. The shop was never completed. The roof leaks like a sieve. Multiple attempts to contact the company have been made with no response. This guy made all the right promises, saying he was not like those guys that run off and leave you hanging.
No flashing installed and water is running down the second story outside wall onto the first. We have leaks in 3 rooms with ceiling and wall damage.

Purchased a queen size Eurotop mattress set on 02 April 2009. I noticed the mattress was developing a "sag" in the middle and contacted Gallery Furniture. They told me they would send out a replacement the same night.
Two hours later, they informed me that it was the vendor's responsibility to make good on the mattress, and that they would send a representative to inspect it. My husband made a wrong internet payment submitting a US$ $ 7032 instead of US$ 70.32 last March while we were in a hurry leaving for a trip last March 2009. We have paid BIG time as Center point has failed to return the money they owe us.

I offer a tale of staggering incompetence and dizzying bureaucratic nonsense:
In 2001 I bought a Maytag refrigerator. I had no problems for 8 years.
In April I got a recall notice, and Maytag sent a repairman from A&E Factory Service.
After that the refrigerator started leaking out the bottom, with puddles appearing every day or so. Because of the timing, this problem was clearly caused by the repair.
Last week I called Maytag, and they set up another service appointment with A&E, between 8 and 12 on June 23.

I purchased a mattress from the Mattress Mart superstore on Colonnade Rd in January 09 and had them deliver it which went smoothly.
A month or so later, I decided to upgrade to a larger size which wasn't a problem because of their 60 day sleep guarantee. Now, the house is brand new and has hardwood flooring at the top of the stairs leading into each bedroom. I hired Charles Troxell from HDXperts, Inc. (dispatched through HD Installers) to mount my flat panel and install my home theater system. Although he offered to do the work himself for significantly less than originally quoted (a no-brainer since HD Installers were ridiculously overpriced anyway), he left several holes in the drywall that should have at least been fitted with outlet covers (see attached photo). After purchasing the complete Stearns and foster king size mattress set, I noticed that ist had began to sag on one side. i contacted the store I purchased it from and voiced a complaint. I was told by Ms. Valerie and others at the corporate office, and the warranty office that there will be an additional charge of $99.00 for replacement after they come out and investigate the mattress.

Tom Dixon was referred by a friend so we never questioned his background or abilities having a comfortable level of trust in him. He completed several jobs on the outside of our home for us last fall providing signed contracts. We questioned a few things but were satisfied in general at the time.
