we bought the sectional new in may 08'. Within weeks the seams are coming apart. Now we have several holes anywhere frome 1 inch to foot half where stuffing is coming out. These are all on seams the threas not holding material toghter. The company we bought this from is out of business. This is our first new living set, and I am disabled and my husband is laid off, we can't afford to replace! We faxed info to straford and have not heard anything. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated, thanks for your time.

ordered a $10.00 Giant Tomato Tree from Gardener's Choice in May of 2009. The company had the gaul to bill my credit card for $61.85. I called my bank and reported this action as fraud and theft. The bank immediatele re-assigned the number on my credit card and put a red flag on the other one.
I tried to call thr company's customer service number. I just got a ringing. No one answered their phone. You can not even talk to these people so they can make things right.

We have our washing machine got serviced but we end up calling them the next day since our washing
machine got worse than what it was before. The guy fixed the tube under the machine but did not reassemble the water pipe back. When we called them, they are giving us a turn around of more than a week appointment.

DO not buy the auger from the infomercial or online. This is a rip-off. The auger is 19.99; however the shipping and handeling is $50.00 for a total over $70. When I found this out, right after I ordered. I tried to cancel. The Customer Service is horrible. My credit card was chaged the $70; however I could return and only be credited for the 19.99. For the first time in our lives we could afford granite counter tops, Tops Solid Surface in Olympia Washington who works with Shelton Floor Coverings in Shelton, Washington let us pick out the granite and we were so excited. Apparently they must have machined the wrong end of the granite and now it does not match the piece it lays against. One side of the seam is so much lighter than the other side it looks terrible. My family is still trying to renovate our home from Hurricane Katrina. We received no money from insurance or the government, so we can only do work as we have the money available. My Mom and Dad purchased bamboo flooring by Golden Select. It went down great. We followed the directions and did exactly as they explained. The floor has been down since November of 2008. Original bid $26, 000 to replace porch, staircase, columns, concrete pads, etc... 3 months later the price has grown to $46, 000, he blames the extra $20, 000 on him not being able to estimate 'the unknowns'. At this point he's completely messed up my home and all he has to offer is excuses and a bad attitude. In our last phone conversation when I complained about his work, he responded with 'f*** you'. I purchased a king-sized Simmons Beautyrest mattress set from Easy Life Furniture in 2004. I paid about $1800 for the set and recommended bed frame. This is a lot of money for me, but I was pregnant with my second child and really wanted to have a comfortable bed so that I could get plenty of rest, so I went ahead and invested in it. Had a refrigirator that required a defrost unit repair on the freezer. Was under factory warranty. A and E tecnician came to repair on a Friday. Installed new part. He told us he was in a hurry and that the unit should start cooling in about 15 minitues and if it didnt call the 800 number and they will return. After 15 minutes not only did the freezer not cool, but the refrigirator shut down. Called the 800 number and was told someone would be out to complete the repair on Monday. Recently I purchased a mattress from savvyrest.com. The salesperson was very smooth and slick, which should have been my first clue that they were not a reputable company with a quality product. He told me the bed was very well crafted and the best price on the internet. I believed him and bought the bed. When it arrived, it was built by what looked like amateurs that were late for lunch. This company put a fence in for me some time ago and it has been a hassle ever since. The gates never have worked and are out of alignment, the fence is uneven everywhere. I have 4 Harbor Breeze outdoor ceiling fans on my patio, they are 5 yrs old.
Me and my friend were in the hot tub the other night and we heard a loud noise, we looked around and saw one of the fans wabbleing,
then we saw one of the blades had broke off and flew across the patio and hit the side of the hot tub. Thank God it did not hit me or my friend but if it had happened just one minute sooner it could have injured me because I had been standing right where it hit.

I purchased 2 Leather Recliners fro Ashley Furniture Store about 3 years ago and also purchased their 'Montage Furniture Services' extended 5 year warranty. The reclining mechanism in both chairs has broken and they cannot get parts to repair the chairs.. I paid over $1600.00 for the 2 chairs... I bought a 2300 Chatom and Wells mattress from Sit and Sleep with a Mattress pad that would guarantee the mattress from any stains. The mattress has sunken in over the five years and I called for the warranty inspection to have it taken care of. My wife and I decided to have our 1/2 acre yard fenced in with the vinyl style fencing. The salesman seemed okay, and the price was acceptable. There were small issues at first, "a couple of weeks" for the job to start turned into "five weeks". When they finally started the job, they completed the entire project in one day, and I thought that was probably rushing it. I received a letter from the building inspector over a year after the job was done saying that the company had never completed the final occupancy inspection/permitting process. I had a unit build by this company in 2005 and have nothing but problems with the
construction. At that time, they had an office in Maryland but have since closed that
office and moved back to New Jersey making service almost impossible.
The roof leaks so badly that I cannot keep furniture or carpets in the room because of
the water coming in during a storm.
The water runs down the walls which make me suspect I may now have hidden damage to the wall studs, floor joices, etc.

In rushing to finish a tree felling job (having quoted it would take 2 days, they actually took 3 hours), they allowed a falling bough to strike our garage door, thereby causing damage right through to the inside). Assuring me (convincingly) that they would bring in a fibre glass specialist within the next7 days, I paid them and allowed them to leave. 4 phone calls elicited further promises to do the repairs - to no avail. Dust Doctor came to my home in scarborough to install a furnace in my home. Recently I called Dircet Energy to have them give me a quote on replacing my water heater. Direct Energy informed me that the company who install the furnace insulated the chimney with the incorrect size, the size was so small and this would eventually allow carbon dioxide to enter the home. Previous to this (not knowing what was happening) my cardon detector came on twice. The fire department advised to chage detectors., which we did.

What I have been a victim of is the section in the GHBA Residential Construction Contract that in essence allows the builder to promise anything to get the 'commencement fee' check with no interest or concern of ever fulfilling any provision of the contract. The contract clearly states that the 'fee' is non-refundable under any circumstances. In short if you pay me a small amount ($5000 in my case.) To date, one group of near 30 homeowners victimized by Joe Fienga have a combined losses total of 348, 500.00 not including sub-contractors who have also not been paid for their services on the homes owned by this particular group of homeowners.
