HP Pavilion dv4000
December 3, 2006
The back plastic cover of the LCD around the hinges started cracking a couple of months after I purchased the machine. It is getting worse by the day. I called HP customer service but I was told that I had to pay over $600 to replace the LCD, even though this is clearly a design flow. The customer service representative was among the worst I had encountered. It was easier to talk to a machine. He kept telling me that he inputted the word crack in some support database and it came back with "must pay over $600". How is it possible... read full review »

VA América
December 1, 2006
Terrence Popp from VAAmerica tried to pass himself off as a veterans rep from the government. He said he could get me a home loan at the best rate, backed by the Government because I was A vet. He told me he was a vet and would look out for my best interest. HE LIED! Mr. Popp took my deposit, screwed up the loan paper work, then kept my money. He told me he didn't have the money to pay me back and tried to blame the Government. When I called the real VA, they told me they are aware of MR. Popps loan scams and that he doesn't represent the real VA. read full review »

Lumix Camera DMZ-TS1
December 1, 2006
Our Lumix camera broke down within six weeks of purchase! We bought it in September within three weeks it started to make strange noises, but this was normal according to the manual. After another two weeks, the camera had trouble focusing and a week later it no longer functioned. Panasonic lost no time telling me that this was not covered by any warranty. I live in Panama where Panasonic has outsourced repairs to a local company called Digitec. They took four weeks to tell me it would cost $ 275 (75% of new price) and five weeks to... read full review »

December 1, 2006
I ordered the Soho collection from 10 Crescent Lane. First, I was told the item was on backorder for 2 weeks and it would ship shortly after they received it. 2 MONTHS later, I receive a call telling me that my merchandise is now available to be shipped. I told the rep to cancel my order. Roughly 2 weeks later I receive another phone call from a delivery company informing me they were delivering my merchandise that I cancelled. I wanted to refuse and was told this was not possible. So I contacted 10 Crescent Lane to give them a piece of... read full review »

General Motors 2003 Avalanche
December 1, 2006
I have purchased a 2003 Avalanche and at 65000 miles while driving down the road third gear went out. At first I thought that it might be an electrical failure of the transmission solenoid. When I took it to the gm dealer I had to have my transmission replaced. After talking to several Gm owners I found three that had the same problem. From what I understand the sun gear lets go and guts the transmission. GM has a problem and they are not addressing it. They would rather pass the cost over to the consumer and forget about it. read full review »

Goodyear Service Station
December 1, 2006
A few years ago I took my car into the Goodyear service station in the Canyon Park area of Bothell, WA. I had made an appt. to have a full tune-up done, and in addition, replace all 4 tires. I dropped it off and walked home (about a mile) because they said the job would take them several hours due to it being a busy day. About 1/2 an hour after I got home, the front desk person called me and she said that the tires my car needed weren't in stock. I felt like they should have had them there since I'd made an appointment and all... read full review »

I have been using the McAfee internet security for three years and have never had any problems, however the other day i switch to Norton because i am told it's better and i fell for it! I had to wait up to 5 hours for Norton Internet Security Suite 2007 to install and do a "quick" scan which was the slowest ever; compared to McAfee which took me about 5 minutes to install and half and hour for a full computer scan! Verizon FiOS Internet / Digital TV
December 1, 2006
Verizon continues to suffer from the attitudes developed when they ran a monopoly and consumers had no other choice. The market is very different today and consumers are in the driver’s seat. But Verizon remains incredibly difficult to deal with, even when you are trying to buy something from them. Case in point: I work from home and have Verizon FiOS internet service. It’s a job requirement that I maintain internet service with static (fixed) IP addresses, so this costs me over $100 per month. I have a nice, new HDTV and... read full review »

The cake burned after cooking only 10 minutes, the thermostat was 100 degrees off. So I called the local appliance dealer we bought it from they came and replaced the part (thermostat) after waiting 6 weeks. The technician when replacing the part scratched the face plate around the knob and ruined it so now you cannot read all the markings on it, to set on correct temp. We paid $3800.00 for that oven and have had problems from... read full review »
