Within a year of owning the Cuisinart coffeemaker DTC 975 series, I had it replaced once; the second pot malfunctioned within 2mos. Total cost of shipping on my part approx. $20. for each replacement. Told by Co. rep. out of thousands of coffeemakers there may be 50 defective. I of course received two of them. Why should I incur the extra expense of shipping for their defective product. I've decided not to chance another defective pot and absorb the loss. The original cost was $99.00. I purchased a pair of shoes from Zappos.com. for an upcoming trip to Europe. I had a pair of shoes form the same manufacturer for years and loved them. On Sept. 18th I purchased a 50% off coupon for the Gap($50.00 coupon for $25.00). When I found I had to wait 3-4 days for the email coupon I immediate requested a refund. My daughter and I have a gym membership and the payments go to ABC financial. Mine is taken out through my credit card, I pay my daughter's with a check. Burt & Associates is a commercial collection agency that has been harrassing me for months. I have filed complaints with the FTC and the BBB. They have a gentleman calling using the name of " Greg Smith, he yells and screams at you on the phone and gives deadlines of when you are to call him back, but nothing ever happens. I signed up for the trial service that was 49.00 and then billed at 100.00 monthly. they made great promises of being available 24 hours, you can use a headset and talk with an actual tutor for most subjects. When you send your electronics in for a program which buys your used Electronics they give you a quote before you send. Well I sent everything necessary to get this full price and then after they receive my equipment they claim things were missing and the quality was not correct and reduce your price. I could not believe how they treated our stuff! It was like a rat race to get us out of the house! I ordered a so called Gibson L-5 guitar from the site which was sent within the 7 days. I had looked at reviews but found they were not helpful. I was sent a low quality guitar with the Gibson name on it. Poor workmanship at best. After looking at the site and double clicking found that the pic brought up the Ebay site. This leads me to belive that TradeTang allows sellers to use others pics and thus scams you to belive your getting a quality instrument. We are receiving continuing phone calls claiming to collect a debt for Retro Fitness. We do not owe Retro Fitness and when we try to get answers from the gentlemen on the phone about where they are located they hang up. We were mailed a bill from Regional Yellow Pages Online and when we called to let them know we had never used them nor authorized a contract, they told us they had a recording of an employee saying yes to the contract. We refused to pay because everything we can find about the company online is fraud and now they have sent us to collections with ACA Recovery Inc. The people at the collections service are also not helpful or willing to listen to our side of the story---stating "if we took advice from debtors..." I was shocked to see two charges of $49.98 on my checking account coming from some company unknown to me. I immediately called their company to get this resolved. They helped me with all the charges on my account and refunded my money back to me within 2 weeks time. They explained to me how this happened that it was a system glitch and this will never happen again.
