I was recently denied credit because of a "potential negative" account from GAP. The account no. showing on my credit report is 601859501236. I am not aware of this account but it may be that since it happened back in 2002 for a charge that was under $100.00 I may have forgotten. On 10/20/07 I was notified by Cadillac that my fuel line was possibly defective and to take it to my nearest dealer and have it repaired at NO CHARGE 'I was told by the dealer that by repairing the fuel line it might possibly deamage the fuel pump abd i would have to pay for the replacement of a new fuel pump if necessary. I contacted Cadillac and they basically told me the same thing. A few months ago I pulled up to the window at the Jefferson Street Subway in Athens. I ordered a large sub and told the cashier make it Tuna. I notice the workers laughing and giving each other high fives. Later I found out why. I received a letter from the company telling my application had been denied on February 1st and on February 6th $616.00 was withdrawn from my checking account. My complaint is about a furniture store in Indianapolis, Indiana. I ordered a few pieces of furniture from Gerdt Furniture in July 2006. Beware of Macy's. When you open a store charge, they open multiple accounts without your knowledge. When you send a payment, they don't credit it correctly, resulting in late charges and harassing phone calls. They NEVER credit back the late charges, even though the errors are theirs. I requested ALL of the accounts be closed - I've yet to see if they can get that right. I had a stellar credit rating until opening Macy's credit.
