Ford Escape
Sheri June 5, 2009
I bought a Ford Escape used with about50, 000 four years ago. I'm have about 13 months left in payments. Here is just a short list. 1) Honeycomb grill: It is all plastic and held in place by two little screws. The grill broke at the screw location after having for 5 months. I bought and install a new one that only lasted a couple of months when it broke in the same place. It is now held in place by bale wire. 2) Air bag light. Had the Escape less than 90 days. Air bag light came on. Took back to the dealer where I bought(30 mile... read full review »

When I submitt to all their requirements, they send requests for further information in order to delay paying on my claim. I am not turning over copies of all the paperwork to the PA Attorney General's office for investigation. Just today June 4 I went to WALT HEALY MOTORSPORT to pick up my motorcycle after it has had some work done to it. A change of tires. Once there to pick it up I was told that there was a problem with my speedometer cable and mount on the front tire, it was explained to me but not very well. Anyways. When I tried to drive the bike away the speedometer cable broke so I immediately turned around and was back at the service desk within 2 min. When I told the service manager/owner that the bike is not working and it must be returned to me in... read full review »

AVIS -SUV rental
Gary Gomez June 4, 2009
I work for United Airlines and I rented an SUV from the OKC airport for a vacation trip to Destin Florida. I had my mom and my two small kids with me. Along the way I was stranded in Memphis, TN with major transmission problems. I called their road side assistance and it took them 2 hrs to send me a wrecker with another SUV that had bald tires. I followed the wrecker back to AVIS and returned both cars. Then after waisting 3 hrs of my vacation time they gave me a third SUV. When I made it to Destin after the 4th day of being there, a light... read full review »

VW MASTERCARS

Is VWSA in contradiction of their own standards? How can VWSA state 'You will love them because they have been loved' on their website and ad material when the mastercar we bought has been confirmed to have been repaired by a non vw approved workshop prior to our purchase. If the car was 'loved' it would have been repaired and painted at an approved shop. Now the evidence is showing of substandard repairs. Is this a mastercar? VWSA did not inspect the vehicle or bother having it done by an approved expert... read full review »

I purchase a car back in May. 1996 Vw Golf Automatic. Within a week I found the oil was dangerously low, the central locking packed up, the blowers weren't working and on investigation had fused. When turning it had a squeal due to the bolt which the belt was attached to almost due to snap.I had to apply for my own registration documents which I found out it had 6 owners previously not 2 as they had said. I wrote to the company several times asking for a refund as due to the central locking I had to get this all repaired in... read full review »

I went here to have my truck inspected and waited for close to an hour, before these idiots even realized it was there for inspection. When I asked the manager who took my registration in upon arrival if they knew it was there, he said they must because he put the registration in the work area somewhere. At first I gave him the benefit of the doubt because I had to wait for three people when I got there. He wanted me to pickup the vehicle before they closed at 6 pm. I advised him I could not make it by closing and would pick it up Monday. For example, I had 50000 and they put up my next oil change is due at 48000 miles. HOW HARD IS IT TO NOT SPILL OIL AND PUT UP THE RIGHT STICKER?????? read full review »

There was never a problem, minor damages were never noted, even after I expressed concern about small dents and even a deep large scratch on bumper. None of this was ever noted at time of initial pick-up, never noted at each monthly renewal. We were told "unless the bumper is cracked or comes off, we dont charge for minor scratches". I purchased a 2004 Grand Prix from Bommarito in April 2006. I originally purchased the car with an extended warranty, and after having the car for only 72 hours I decided that the price of the warranty did not justify what I was getting, so I called the dealership and spoke with a gentleman in the finance department and told him I wanted to cancel it. He told me that would not be a problem, but the money would have to go on the back end of our loan because they had already sent out paperwork off to the credit union we financed with. Asked a few normal questions in no manner was I mad even though I did not have a car. The person on the other end got mad and told me not to bother to visit as he would not rent to me. I recommend not renting from them as it appears they say one thing, and then when it is time to pick up the car change what they say. Admittedly, I have an old car – a 1995 Buick Riviera with a supercharged engine, which still looks practically new and is by no means a “junker”. It’s still a beautiful car by most people’s standards. It only has around 96, 000 miles on it as a 13 year old car. Granted, I have a different mindset about cars than many. I buy a nice car I really love (in the semi-luxury range) and virtually keep it until it falls apart into a pile of rubble. Then I buy another nice car I love and do the same. I wish I had seen this site and ripoffreport two years ago when I dealt with these guys. I was scammed by them, so were others. The car I bought had a tire welded to the axle, failed inspection, and after about a week stopped running altogether. New Hampshire has very little to protect the consumer by law so NO ONE SHOULD EVER BUY A CAR IN THE STATE OF NEW HAMPSHIRE ANYWAY!!! Having said that my complaints were met with sarcasm from the owners of the company, who are named Bob and George Kalil, make sure they have nothing to do with the company you buy your next car from.
