Had a water leak and needed someone to check it out. Called the fancy insert in the yellow pages. When the individual arrived, he couldn't wait to get a signature on a contract. He wouldn't even talk without it. I finally agreed for the primary amount of $45.00. After taking a day off work to get my ice-maker repaired the GE tech showed up and did not fix my ice-maker. When I told him it was still broken he insisted I was wrong and the machine just didn't have enough ice. I was under the impression that I was getting a free subscription to Parents Magazine through an online source. I was shocked that I was being billed (I never gave any credit card info) for a subscription. This company fraudulently took money from my bank acount using my debit card information. Unlike some of the other reports, I have not signed up for any free trials or anything else on-line. This company is known by financial institutions as an actively fraudulent company. I was in Orlando, FL recently and I had my card stolen on March 7th, 2008. I quickly called and was told that there had been a charge of $936 dollars to my account already. I was furious. Our Frigidaire stove that is a little over a year old, has a chip in the porcelain on the top of the stove. Since the manufacturer warranty recently expired, we contacted Lowe's as we had purchased an extended warranty at the time we purchased the stove. A service technician from A and E factory service came out on September 23, 2008. He deemed the defect to be cosmetic and had us sent touch up paint.
