I have a Best Buy card through HSBC that I have been paying on for 3 years now. I usually pay double what is owed every month. With very little exception, I have paid on time. December of 2005 I switched back from sending checks to electronic payment through my bank. My minimum payment of $19.00 was due on 12/03/05. They state they did not receive my payment until 12/08/05 (I believe they received it, they just did not process). They charged me a late fee of $29.00. I was charged $14.95 a month for two months by Shoppingessen(tails) WITHOUT my consent. I purchased the Wal-Mart Student Edition MoneyCard however I put all the correction information in the system for activation. The customer service agent stated the system could not verifiy my information and I had to wait 3-5 business days to get a refund of my own money that I downloaded on the card. It was for a family emergency. I never knew there is problem with verifying information from using your own personal money. I was one step ahead and told her to take us off her call list and that I was not interested in her service. THE SAME DAY I got an email that I ordered an uprgrade of my DSL service. Owens Corning business practice is to add the price of a give away, big screen TV, $1000.00 debit card to the purchase price of their basement system. Which means it is not really a give away. I am still being charged for all services while my phone is shut off. They turned off my phone, I can get phone calls, but cannot call out, also no caller ID or voicemail during this time. I have bundled service that includes long distance voicemail, and caller ID. I asked about why they still charge for full service and was told that Iam still accruing these charges. In July 2007 I hired Aurora Exterior Painting to paint my house in Marlboro, MA. I had been very specific about the Benjamin Moore color I selected that is listed on the Benjamin site for EXTERIOR and INTERIOR. I bought a 3oz sample and told them to use that color. The catalytic converter has gone at 19000 km. I'm, told this should not be the case and that VWGI should replace it for me. They don't want to know and only 50% of the part and none of the labour will be covered by the dealers. Skoda's customer care don't want to cooperate and are passing the book. I called iPower sales to upgrade my webhosting. When they upgraded my contract to "Premier Plus" I lost the ability to maintain my website wtih their tool WebCreator (CM4all). After 2 hours on the phone with iPower tech support, I was told there was nothing they could do other than spend several 100 hours to rebuild my website. They had no backups or any way to restore the files. They took a deposit for a vehicle that they pushed on me and then when I decided not to purchase the vehicle due to the fact that they were ripping me off, and the car was not worth what I would end up paying, they had the nerve to say they were keeping my deposit for their trouble and time. Claremont VW and VWSA have sold me a brand new car that started rusting from 4 weekd after taking delivery. Since then, the car has been back approx. 7 times for rust repairs/body work issues and general bad quality of workmanship. It has reached the point now where they "repaird" body work issues, but they have completely stuffed up the boot. It no longer aligns with the body and sets the alarm off at random times. Claremont VW and VWSA now refuse to rectify the damage they have done and refuse to return my calls or even speak to me. My daughter received this in the mail. CCS had no problem taking the money out of our account. I did everything I was told to do by a Bob. Today I call in and speak with Adam (who is supposedly supervision) and he informs me that Bob is too busy to speak with me and now he tells me I did not return the package in the correct way. They received it but now state that I did not get a refund number. So it will not be refunded. This should be against the law for a company like this to operate. I have been installing low energy recessed ceiling lights (spot type) on an attrition basis for a few years. It appears that light manufactured by Feit Electric (bought at Home Depot) have a very short life... Lately, I have been collecting the failed bulbs and they continue to fail while original, incandescent bulbs are still operating... they are supposed to have longer life, not shorter. It seems that low energy bulbs supplied by other manufacturers (I will not buy any more Feit bulbs) are lasting longer, but time will tell. read full review »

Bought a 5 yr. prot. plan for new couch in Feb. 2005. Stitching has come undone in cushion on which your back rests. Placed claim today 2-4-09 and they denied it, stitching is not covered. Went to Jerome's for help, they basically told me I was SOL, despite me acting like a customer first with a 'sales guy' and when I questioned him on if the warranty covered stitching, he asked a co-worker who said it was.
