We used Precision Door Service in Scottsdale, Arizona, about three weeks ago. The price started at $89.00 and went up three times to $433.20. The next day we called because the door did not work. They wanted to charge us a service fee to come out and look at the door. This was the next day after their work was to be guaranteed. I put on lay away a drawer chest for three month period. I paid 238 dlls for the piece and when I went to pick this up they try by all means to get you with one piece in exhibition and not from the warehouse. POOR Serivce - I am going on my 6th repair call for the same issue. The techs keep on coming but they seem to mess it up each time. Today, Saturday, I had a call to confirm my service appointment between 8-5pm but no one showed. Walmart, Lowe's, and Home Depo can not be bothered to check the quality of the cheap plants they offer. As a result tomato blight has taken over the North East US. I personally lost more than $50.00 of high quality Burpee plants that had been thriving. Intex just crook me out with their defective pool. Purchased expensive microwave (for us) almost $500. Caught on fire while baking a potato and died. Repairman proclaimed sensor failure. Sears Customer Service stated consumer abuse, "aluminum could have grown in potato" (minerals?). It was our responsibility to watch the potato at all times. In May 2008 I bought a new Kenmore refrigerator through a Sears store in North Conway, New Hampshire, for one of my apartments. Make sure you thoroughly read your contract with these people before signing. I signed a 3 year contract with them, and after the 3 year term ended, I called to cancel services. They told me the contract was 3-year retroactive, which the representative failed to tell me, and that if I wanted to cancel services, I should have sent them a certified letter, in the mail, 1 month prior to my contract end date, which had already passed. This individual or someone representing his company TAPED advertising literature to the siding of my house. This is an OUTRAGEOUS business practice! I called him to ask that it be removed on 3 different occasions and he ignored all three - he always lets his phone go to voice message, so there's no way to speak to him. I filed a BBB complaint and he has lied to them about trying to call me, leaving messages, and accuses me of ignoring him! I was locked out of my house and called usalocksmiths.com. A guy showed up in about 35 minutes, looked at the lock, and told me that he would charge me $188 for the job. It was expensive, but what could I say? "Maybe it was a difficult task", I said to myself. But it was NOT!!! Well, I heard back from Maytag Customer service. Their advice is for me to contact a service technician. On the basis of everyone's comments here, I think I will save myself some time and money and just wait for the dishwasher to die completely. I am going to talk to the store that sold the dishwasher to us, and let them know how poorly Maytag is treating their customers. Did someone suggest a lawsuit? We started using this company for lawn mowing and they are VERY careless with your flowers, fence, and anything left in your back yard! The customer service is terrible at best!!! On 5 Aug I never received a phone call telling me when repair person would be at my home. Bought a brand new Kenmore Regrigerator in May of 2005. It died while I was out of town on July 28, 2009. Just over 4 years old and it is unreparable now. Lost all the contents. What happened to long lasting appliances. My Whirlpool dishwasher circa 1985 and Whirlpool stove circa 1985 are 24 years old each. I won't replace them till I'm forced to.
