I made the mistake of completing an online info request for the University of Phoenix Atlanta campus. I have asked them on six occasions to stop calling me at both my home and cell phone. I was the winning bidder for a 7 day vacation at Oyster Bay in St. Martin. They did not honour the auction because they claimed I had an existing reservation through Expedia. Not only did they not honour it, but they did not even have the courtesy to contact me that there was a problem. My reservations and payment were made on 6/23/08-due date was 6/30/08. About two weeks after that, I contacted them for verification. That's when I learned there was a problem. I have it in writing from Expedia that no such reservation exists. In December 2006, a monthly charge of $7.25 plus $.36 tax appeared on my AT&T phone bill for 'voice message monthly fee'. AT&T showed that the billing was provided as a service to the company identified, which was MyTeleBill, LLC. An "888" number was provided if there were any questions about the charge. Within the past several years, one of my sisters has a few times ordered and paid for several gift subscriptions to magazines from this company (which until recently went by the name "MagSelect.com") for many family members at Christmastime. I was a Telatron employee for two years from Feb 2001 until Dec 2003. I was miserable for those two years working there. That place is EVIL! It is a cesspool. This turned out to be your typical "Bait and Switch" program. It seems that even when one participates in the "Product Test Program" and receives an incentive gift, or in my case a $50 gift card, that there is still no remedy. Once activated, I tried using the card for an online purchase and was rejected by the financial institution that the card was suppose to be purchased from. I purchased a GE Washer and Dryer on July 15, 2007. In December 2007 the dryer through the main breaker in my home because it got so hot. The shell of the dryer would burn you almost immediately to the touch. It took a repairman 2 months to the day to get back with me about changing all 3 theromstats in the dryer. Since then it does dry however, the shell does not get hot unless you open the dryer between cycles to check on the clothes and if you do it gets hot again. They hold your items hostage until you pay the EXTRA fees they charge you (my case it cost me $3500 more than the quote!) They delivered my items 2-1/2 weeks later than said. An order for a bedroom set was placed on June 13th and the receipt said an expected delivery date of July 15th. However, after repeated efforts to contact the store via telephone, I was told today that the order wouldnt be delivered until the end of October. The representative also mentioned that when they write 4 weeks on the receipt it normally takes 8-12 weeks. My husband and I purchased a mattress from Park Furniture, Altoona, Pa. under the impression we were recieving the best service from a small business owner. The mattress, Allure from Restonic, cost us $1600! It lasted about a year and a half then formed permanent indentations on both sides. It no longer offers support or pain free nights. I toss and turn and wake up unrested and in much pain. They will not do anything about this as there is small stain on the mattress which they say voids the warranty. We hired Masterpiece Studios to do our daughters wedding photos. The photographer was on the recommendation from the Thunderbird Chapel. This was a horrible experience. If you want to spend $1500 and receive 22 engagement photos (taken with a white background and look like school photos) and 22 bridal photos...this is the place to call.
