I purchased Furniture from Bassett Furniture the wood is already rotting away and half the wood is not even stained and if it is stained it's all different colors stains. Also there looks like they cliped out pieces of the wood on some of the furniture where it should be totally flat and smooth and there are indents of circles also in the wood that should not be there at all. Now I have to spend my own money to get all the mistakes they made taken care of because they are unwilling to do so. The Bsssett people are very rude too. read full review »

We purchased Rhino decking in 2002/2003. By the second summer we noticed that we were getting a lot of mildew spots on the boards and the spaces between the boards were narrowing. This was getting worse as the summer went on. Then it began buckling and pushing the railing system out. After contacting the company they asked us to send them pictures of the problem which we did. I am very unhappy with the way your store policy of returns are. If that's the way your going to run things, train your employs to tell all customers that if you want to return an item, there will be a store credit issued. I purchased some draperies on Saturday, not 100% positive on the color, so I asked one of your employees if I had a problem can I return them and they said yes, They didn't say you can return them for credit. I have a Admiral...from the division of Maytag...with a burnt out motor. Machine is barley two years old...has been treated very well...not overloaded...and now the motor is burnt up. Since it is out of warranty...the cost to fix it will be the same as buying a new one. No williness from Maytag to give me even a discount on a new motor. My wife and I bought a dinning room table set at Levitz – total cost over $1,400. They attempted the first delivery the following week. The dining table must have been dropped, it had a huge dent on one corner – did not accept the table I’m told they would deliver a new one next week. We recently had a pool built in our backyard and hired Country Club Sod and Landscape to install the backyard irrigation system and resod my front yard with St. Augustine and my neighbor's side and backyard with Bahia. I contracted with Randall McDaniels for a room addition Feb 2005. We made two payments, one at contract signing and one after the masonry work was complete for a total of 20K plus. We were overcharged by $4000 for a boundary survery. Mark Reese of Universal Technical lied to us about the amount of work that was required by the state of Pa. and the Health Dept. of Bucks County. They were very aggressive about being paid, even when the job was not completed (I did wait until it reportedly was to pay), they were then supposed to complete another job for us (but never showed). We had A & E out 4 weeks to repair a 4 year old Kitchen Aid microwave. We told them it was the microtron (which had a 10 year warranty). The factory rep came out and looked at the microwave and agreed it was the microtorn. However, the rep didn't have the part with him. I purchased fuel from the 7-11 gas station on Post Road in Indianapolis, Indiana back in October 2005 while on my way to New York. I put about 13 gallons of gas in my 2004 Isuzu Rodeo, bought some refreshments and got back on the interstate. He stated for a little more I could get the 3 ply Weather-beater with a film in it. This was about $1000.00 per window. In the beginning of July 2005 we bought a lounch suite from Rochester Furnishers in Strubensvalley Roodepoort. Their policy is 30% deposit and then they order the furniture to be delivered within 8-10 weeks. When I phones to follow up I was told that our lounch suite already arrived on the 24 August but it had a tear in the one seat and that they have send it to the dealer in Johannesburg to be fixed. When I phone 3 days before my set was suppose to be delivered I was told that the set is still in the warehouse with the tear and that the manufacturer will collect it only tommorrow and that I will have to wait another 2 weeks if I am lucky! read full review »

I purchased a couch and chair in May of 2004. The salesperson pushed the warranty on us that would replace or repair "any damage" on the couch and chair. On May 27, 2006 I noticed cracking and peeling of the leather. Since Monday was Memorial Day, I had to wait to call about the warranty until Tuesday May 30. I AM ANGRY!. I had my GE microwave/range wall unit installed on February 10, 2006 and I am so unhappy. My reasons are: The oven fan comes on when you set the bake time and remains on sometimes 2 hours after you have turned it off. I know that ovens need fans but why must it stay on continuously and why must it be loud. I cannot sit in my breakfast room or talk on the phone without hearing that annoying roar. I purchased a duet washer at Lowes on 9/05. I have followed all manufacturer's instructions for the care of my washer. I have a septic tank odor coming from the water that washes my clothes for 1 month. Have followed Whirlpools recommendation to resolve the issue but did not help. Have had 2 techs come to tell me that all front loaders do this and that I have to just live with it . The last tech said he sees it everyday. This is a gross misrepresentation for the consumer. On 6/4, while I had my Kitchenaid range on the self clean cycle, the oven stopped working. The fuse blew and the timer on the oven went out. When I replaced the fuse the range top worked, but the timer remained out on the oven and the oven door remained locked. I sent Kitchenaid an email that day and followed up with a call the next day. I received a call back later that day. Service was set up with A and E Factory service for Saturday 6/10. I work 6 days per week, so I had to cancel patients for this service call.
