I received a letter from my existing mortgage company who stated "according to the terms of my mortgage you are required to maintain insurance coverage for your home from windstorm and hail". Upon reading my mortgage, it says nothing to the fact. I am in the process of paying off this mortgage and the existing mortgage company has placed "forced insurance" for windstorm / hail. I have disputed with them and they insist I must pay it, even though it was not required according to the original mortgage. Beware people! read full review »

I was contacted by First Union Financial Group, in regards to a loan approval in the amount of $30,000.00. I have been dealing with a Ms. Andi Hernandez as my loan officer. I applied for a "free" credit report and was able to recieve it. However, my original attempt at cancelling it was futile. I was charged several months in a row. I've called again and this time I received e-mail confirmation that it had been cancelled. As a "courtesy" I will receive 1 months fee back ($12.00). In an effort to clean up her credit my daughter signed up with Triple Advantage to get free credit reports. She did not register for any extra benefits and should but since that time has been getting monthly charges on her debit card. She has twice called the company to request that they stop charging her, they have agreed to do so each time, but continue to charge her account each month. This is the worst! Sovereign Bank recently sent all their telephone service jobs to India. The people spend all their time asking you if you've had a nice day etc, rather than being serious about your business, what's more they don't even understand what you are asking them. I recently called to check if an overdraft protection I had applied for had gone through, I asked them repeatedly to make sure, and they assured me that it had. My family has been part of the slimy Sprint contract web for too many years. I'd get a new service if it weren't for the freakin' contracts that charge a person $150 (per phone) to get out of! I took the IQ test when my grandson asked me to do so - his reward for a certain number of people taking the test was to be a computer. I just ended a 4 year lease with Bank One / Chase for a 2002 Suzuki XL7. This was my 4th lease on a car and it was the WORST. Bank One did not call nor mail me any info when the lease was up. I have had access to my direct-deposited funds on the same day, but the online banking is a big problem. It is true that you cannot know your actual balance online, particularly if you use the debit card. It seems the balance only reflects a nominal portion or maybe a percentage of the actual amount debited and it won't post the full amount or where it went to until 2-3 days later. I canceled this service in July 2002 after reporting that my pager had been lost. Someone found the pager and apparently reactivated the pager. In Sept. 2002 I received an invoice for $144.63 for reconnect fees and an overage charge for 454 pages. Again in October I received an invoice for $39.00 for a lost/stolen equipment charge and another overage charge of $241.50 for 966 pages. Citifinancial (Westgate Plaza, Westfield, MA) is a lender who used deceptive practices with me on my mortgage. They sneakily switched my mortgage rate from fixed to adjustable!, and did away with my 'Agreed Rate Reduction Rider'. I took out a mortgage with Citi financial in April, 2004.
