When I wanted to sell my second-hand furniture, I decided to use the local secondhand store for convenience. in september of 01 I moved into a appartment complex in Deerfield Illinois. Right after i moved in the manager was notified by me that there was a continuous scent of gas from the range. After working for this company on a few occasions as subcontract labor, working out of town for $150.oo a day, was given a check @ 1:30 AM in the dark after completing a job, after accepting it, trusting his honesty would be true, came to find that i was shorted $50.00 compensation. Long story short, 2001 acquired an equity loan on my home with Centex. Same situation as all the other complaints I've read on here. My boyfriend and I responded to an ad on Craigslist for low priced furniture. I called Colwell, Inc. and scheduled a time to view the furniture. In August 2005 we lost our home to a fire caused by a lightning strike. It was the day before school started and our son was home. I have purchased not 1, not 2, but 3 Rowenta irons since 2002. The first 2 irons that stopped working I blamed on my son who was home from college using it each time. This third iron, a model DX6900 has a short in the power cord that goes into the iron. I can some time wiggle the cord to get the iron to power on. Today, it is completely not working. VA Deck does the worst job ever and will never complete the Deck in time. We have to follow up with them so many time for our deck to get completed. I scheduled repair for 2 appliances, they told me the day between 8am and 5pm. I called last week because of a broken pipe that was connected to my outside spigot. No water could flow to the outside of the house for my hose. I talked to someone named Don i believe. I told him that he could send someone over either in the next 2 hours (as i had to go out) or on the following thursday or froday. June 2009. I was just screwed by this company too. I ordered a beaded curtain, charges were immediately applied to my credit card ($113), and I never received the curtain. They promised to credit my card, but they never did. I have threatened filing a class action lawsuit - I don't know if I can, but I will consider it if it's possible. They came in a team to jump my fence with ladders (i keep my gate locked) and cut off my gas. When I showed them copies of my bank statement and recent bill to prove I was up to date, they literally ran away from me and refused to even call their supervisor for confirmation. Ray's Heating and Air replaced my air conditioning condenser last year and did a very poor job. First, they replaced a 3 1/2 ton 10 seer unit with a 4 ton 13 seer unit but did not replace the coil. A couple of hours after they left from installing the system it turned on to cool off the house and we heard a loud thumping noise.
