LATE DELIVERY I had booked for a cylinder on 19./11/07 and my house is just four km from the service provider's office. Its more than 10 days and have not yet received the cylinder. I was contacted 3-19-08 on my company phone by Wells Fargo Auto Finance co. At that time I am six days late with my payment. The operator Jill ID#B146 was verbally abusive and yelling at me, demanding that I make my payment now or make pmt. arrangements. Which is ok with me except, being spoken to like that. I am always on time with my pmts., except this time. Is this customer service normal for six days late? I purchased an ottoman that has popped buttons for 3 times. The second time I called after 6 weeks to find the piece just laying there with not intention to fix it. I paid over $800 for this piece. It has broken again. I called the store several times and no one even answers the phone! I also complained the fabric has not lasted, it is deteriorating and has not kept its crisp finish. Do not work for this company or take your child there. They will say anything to get you to bring your child there. Believe me, they try to brainwash staff into telling the parents anything they want to hear to get parents to bring their kids to the center. They say they want to make sure the things happening in the center are in the best interest of the children. What a crock!!! All they care about is the money. Staff are paid crap and are overworked. I have been a loyal T-Mobile ( compnay with least care and appreciation for its customers) customer for 5 years. I bought a new phone for my daughter and since the phone arrived, it has been acting up, gets into silet mode at will . I was out on a holiday for the last 10 days and i just got back and called T-Mobile customer care, and am told they will ship a new phone and I have to pay shipping for the new phone. I have been using Airtel prepaid Connection (9880364935) for about 2 years in Bangalore. And I had a balance of 1800/- Rs on 1st of Sept. I went to my native place and couldn't recharge when I was there. After coming back to B'lore when I checked my balance, the whole amount 1800/- was deducted. Today, October 6, 2008, I had my Frididaire dishwasher repaired by Sears Home Services (Sears service order #:65914956). While the repair technician was on-time and courteous, I am absolutely livid about the $179.00 charge for essentially unplugging the drain hose. The time spent in my home was less than one hour and no parts were required. I expected the charge to be the $65.00 minimum house call fee, assuming that was the hourly rate. I have been a regular subscriber of Readers Digest. In Apr, 2007, Readers Digest sent me a renewal reminder and I sent them a cheque for Rs 399 the same week. The cheque was encashed in May, 2007 and inspite of over 5 reminders they have even refused to respond to my E mail queries. Their subscription dept in my city asks me to contact their Mumbai office and no one gives any clear answers. Readers Digest used to be a decent publication but in the recent years has become absolutely pathetic. I wish to mention a negative customer experience I recently had in the Zara Store location at Rockland Mall in Montreal. The Cashier at the close of sale was very rude, did not smile and stamped my receipt final sale even though I had purchased a regular price shirt there. I noticed he was also sullen to the customer ahead of me. Nevertheless, he kept me waiting a long period of time and did not even apologize or smile. I have never dealt with a more rude or inept service department in my life!! I placed an order online and never received it. When I called to check the status, I was rudely told that I should have called to place my order instead of placing it online. Are you kidding me? What century is this?? I have requested my merchandise, to no avail, so I then requested a refund. Today is the fourth time I have requested a refund. They will "call me back" today to let me know what is going on. I stored my belongings with University Storage in Tampa when I went to live in China in 2002. They were bought out by Public Storage. I received a statement dated 12/15/06 from Public Storage with a note that I was paid to September 1 of 2007. The fee I paid was $706 for a year, including a free month. I later saw on my credit card statement that they were charging me $885 for the next year, an increase of 26%. I became disabled and after numerous attempts Household (self-insured) finally activated my disability claim. This was a devastating road, because the insurance claim department was always late in making the payments (same financial institution!!!). My Wife and I discovered it had termite by walking up on palm harbor sale man try to treat it with a spray from home depot and was not going to tell us. We stop them and told them that we would except a house with termites. Needless to say they made all kind of promise that was not true. I called into customer service after a shipping charge that was more than the product I ordered. The agent told me since it was the first time I ordered she would give me a one time free shipping. I have now been charged 12.95 a month for several months on my bank account, from some marketing company that works with them called encore marketing. I never agreed to a service that hey are offered for discounts. WHAT A RIPOFF. I would never suggest to make any purchase from newport news. What might look like a pretty good deal is not. The package was totally misrepresented and the information given to us was a complete lie. Fortunately we called the actual Direct TV customer service in time to cancel.
