Standard Chartered Bank
January 30, 2008
This is with regard to the late payment charges being laid upon me even after I made the payment. The sequence went like this: 1. In April 2007, I asked the Standard Chartered people to change my billing address. 2. After that I went on site and came back in November, and to my surprise, the address was not changed. 3. I again called them up and asked to change the address and asked them to provide me Statement. I mentioned very clearly that since they didnt change the address previously, so whatever late charges they had... read full review »

Turkish Airlines
Akrusine September 28, 2010
I bought 2 tickets on 1 Sep 2009 from Johannesburg to Dushanbe on the Turkish Airlines (TA)website. The same day I heard from Tajikistan friends there were problems with our visa application. I went to the TA office in Johannesburg and cancelled the tickets. I was informed there that the penalty would be +- ZAR 1000, but that the refund could only be made by the internet sales department. I phoned the international call centre in Istanbul on 4 Sep at +- 12h00 and spoke to Fatih Colak who also confirmed that the penalty would be +- Euro 90... read full review »

State Farm Insurance
December 27, 2006
If you use State Farm Insurance run, don't walk, to another company fast! They take your money but give you every hassle in the book when it comes to paying. They won't follow up on collision claims when you have your car repaired under collision insurance. They say they will go after other driver and get ur deductible back, but they do nothing but send you a letter about 6 months later saying "sorry we aren't going to pursue this any more". If you get hit by an uninsured/underinsured driver, forget state farm... read full review »

I am trying from the past 1 month to get my bill clarified from your cust. care deptt, but up to my shock & frustration, each time I need to message them, as your IVR suggests & when I send message, I get a very irritating reply to elaborate on the issue every time, which I can't as I've other works to do.I asked them in the message that I am facing 3-4 issues, so better call me once & get all my doubts answered, BUT NO RESPONSE!!! I am completely exhausted with this--A SIMPLE 10 MINUTES ISSUE TAKES A MONTH & STILL PENDING WITHOUT ANY RESOLUTION--PATHETIC & SHAMEFUL SERVICES. read full review »

Optus
December 3, 2007
I was relocating my homephone (with Optus). Local calls work but I cant call mobile. Everytime I call the customer service (mentioned in the phone bill) - I was either passed around to various different disconnected departments or was being on-hold for 45min+ - Yesterday I'd like to find out how long my call finally was answered by human, and it took them 1hr 25min. Even after that long, the Optus rep (it was Mac, and then transferred to Brian) - asked me to 'hold for 30sec' and then the next thing that happened, I got... read full review »

National American University
Struggling April 30, 2009
I enrolled at National American University in a 4 year Bachelor Degree program as a Paralegal. My first semester I had no problems at all and enjoyed the classes and teachers. Since then I have had nothing but problems concerning the financial aid department and with trying to disput one of my grades. I had received a C as my final grade in one of my classes even though I had been carrying a high B throughout the semester. I have requested numerous times for my final paper grade to see my grade with no success. I have asked the... read full review »

ProActiv Solutions

I was a satisfied customer of ProActiv acne cleansing system for years, beginning in the mid-90s (before they used celebrity endorsements). My mother got the account for me & I used the product for many years; we terminated the account only due to accumulating a stockpile of the product. Cut to this summer, when I opened an account with ProActiv for myself. There was an "Introductory Offer" of the VitaPower vitamins for $3.99, and I accepted it. There was no information about how much the product was after the "introductory... read full review »

I called Comcast at around 9:30 am EST on 1-26-08, they had me do a bunch of things (of which I had already done), but did them again: reboot cable modem, reboot router, reboot server. So then they said I needed to hook up a computer directly to the cable modem, and then I should have internet access (they were saying I had an internal network problem) so I hook up the 1st laptop, no go, of course the tech says my laptop has a problem with its internal card, sooo, I hook up the 2 nd laptop, guess what , same problem, no internet, say... read full review »

Verizon Wireless service

My cell phone has had issues over charging(pins bent) for 6 months now. I was offered a new phone to be shipped to me in April when it first happened but since I was still able to charge it and use it so I declined. This morning I tried to charge it and it would not plug in and the phone actually died. I called the 800 number for verizon wireless and was told that I wasn't due for my free phone upgrade until nov. 17th(today is the 9th) but since it was only 8 days away, the CSR would check with her supervisor and see what she could do... read full review »

Chase Debit Card
sailnfool January 15, 2010
Highlights - Chase double debited a charge on my account, charged me an overdraft fee. Apparently it happened to a large number of customers. I went to deposit money in my account this morning and discovered to my horror that most of the deposit was absorbed into an overdraft. I checked with the teller at the bank and they told me that the airline had debited my account twice for a recent trip. I called the airline and they explained they had only one transaction record and had only been paid once. They suggested I double-check my account... read full review »

Teenage kid was going door to door selling subscritptions for the LA Times in early August of 2008. His selling point was signing on subscriptions would enable him an employment opportunity which would in turn keep him off the streets. The introductory offer was $20 for 12 weeks, receiving delivery Thurs-Sunday. I went ahead and cut him a check and began receiving delivery approximately 10 days later.
