I moved to north Houston over a month ago, to a subdivision that has the community mail boxes. I was told that in order to receive mail, my box would have to be re-keyed. I never had a problem with CVS before, until today. I was cropping a photo on the kodak machine. When i got to the end of editing my product it said out of paper. I told them behind the desk. Well the manager rushed around to find the paper, came around to the kodak machine and said real nasty"This isn't the paper for this machine, that one back their is out of paper." She went behind the counter. complained some more about me. so i said to her"What is the difference betwwen these to photo machines?" She yelled "I dont... read full review »

PLS Check Cashers
RandyClark June 9, 2010
I had an insurance check sent to me. My son illegally forwarded my mail and got hold of this check. He took the check to PLS in Irving on N. Beltline Rd. where they cashed the check for him. The Name on the check was very different from my son's name, but they cashed the check anyway. I filed a forgery case with the police and gave plenty of proof to PLS that the check was cashed illegally. The store manager, the District Manager and his boss all admitted they never should have cashed this check. But that is all they will do, admit they... read full review »

Laptops for Less
Tracy January 12, 2009
I purchased an adapter for my MacBook and requested FedEx 2nd day. Turns out that the order was canceled because the shipping and billing addresses were different (part of their fraud policy). This policy was not stated on the website, and I did not receive the email that customer service said they sent out when I called them 6 days later. The customer service people put me on hold for 15 minutes, were very rude and condescending, and could not offer any way to fix this problem. When I proposed that I could place a new order, but that I... read full review »

Phillips LCD TV
November 19, 2007
On Saturday, 11/17, I noticed a 42" Phillips Magnavox LCD TV for sale for a very low price. I thought it was a mistake, so I refreshed screen a few times, it didn't change. I left BJs website, and came back again, and still, it didn't change. I spent about 20 minutes or so to research the TV online, as I wasn't sure if it was a defective product, refurbished, a loss leader, clearance item, or whatever. Went back to BJs.com, saw price was still the same. I first had to renew my membership, which I did specifically for... read full review »

Ordered a $4000.00 product from a company in Kansas City who shipped it from California. They said that they use HomeDirect delivery because of a low damage rate. Good enough. So ok, I started checking into this company and they said that they had full tracking of the freight just like UPS and I was told that i would have the product in my hand in 3 weeks. I let them know upfront that it was a Christmas present for my wife and it had to be here before then. That gave them 5 weeks. Microsoft XBox 360
December 9, 2006
Son bought Xbox360 on the first day available 11/05. It has had two hardware failures since then, both outside of 90 day warranty. Both times we have insisted that MS replace unit at no charge due to State of Maine law prohibiting limitation of implied warranty/merchantability for up to four years of coverage. Incidental and consequential damages are also NOT disallowed. MS customer service is an oxymoron. Same as what others wrote - don't allow you to view shipping fees and tell you they will give you $5 discount, and the shipping fee is more than the item I'm purchasing, as I found out after providing my credit card info. On October 14 I gave my B of A debit card information to Employment Crossing, as they promised to provide more job ads. They also promised to not charge employers. I took my MR2 into my local Les Schwab store, East Bremerton, Washington State, had them checkout the noise from my front end when hitting a bump. They told me the power steering rack was bad, the boot was full of fluid. Their estimate for the replacement rack was $108.46 plus labour and alignment. I took my estimate home and thought about it over night, went back in and asked if the part they would use would be used, rebuilt or new. Eagle Warranty
Andrew February 25, 2009
Understand that Eagle will only be covering a part of the repair - the contract is very misleading - read the fine print at the bottom. Also, they pro-rate the amount they will pay according to parts that will last for the lifetime of your contract with them (they are not looking out for you or your car in the least). When used parts weren't available for my repair, they only offered a little more for a new part. I was still stuck covering 35% of the bill. Their customer service is the worst. I purchased a 2004 Toyota Sienna a little over a year ago. Recently the drivers side door started making a loud noise, like something was bending. I took it in to the dealer today to have it looked at and hopefully fixed. When I arrived at the service center and showed the service tech the issue he seemed confident that it would be covered under warranty but, told me I needed to go to the body shop. James Lowther
sbidfilm November 1, 2010
James (or Jay) Lowther has approached several film students at UC Santa Barbara requesting that they be part of a documentary he claims will be on Oprah's new TV network. He has offered no form of compensation for the work he wants done on the project aside from the promise of a credit on the work. While this promise, on its own, does not constitute a scam, the overall lack of information available on him or his company, and his insistence on equipment rented by others, appears to be a very shady operation. I purchased 4 tires from tire rack. They were Kuhmo tires that were advertised to be 85000 mile tires. I got less than 15000 miles and they wouldn't pass inspection. All 4 tires were evenly worn. Replacement tire were bought and the alignment was checked and it was stilll within mfg. specs. Tire rack/ Kuhmo wanted me to ship the tires back to them at my expense for there engineers to inspect. Be aware that when you buy tires from an online retailer, all warranties are with tire rack at your expense as opposed to aa local retailer where you could have bought them. read full review »
